Maybe it was a prophetic slip. But its hard to imagine the bees getting hammered any harder. Ouch.

Ocean sunfish (Mola mola)

The ocean sunfish (Mola mola) is the world’s largest known bony fish (sharks and rays are cartilaginous, not bony). At least one estimate over 3000 lb. has been recorded and individuals reaching 11 ft. (3 m.) from fin tip to fin tip have been seen. It is found in all oceans in tropical and temperate climes, and is known to eat gelatinous zooplankton (jellyfish) and probably small fishes and algae. In the eastern Pacific, Mola mola is normally found from British Columbia to South America, although in El Nino events it has been recorded as far north as Alaska.

Relatively off-topic.

I think it’s weird how fast the Pistons fell to a bottom team. I remember just a few years ago, when we had to play them, I prepared for an exciting game that would come down to the wire. Right now…
Most teams who get worse, don’t go that far. Maybe from great to mediocre. But the Pistons went from great to really bad.

Cleveland seems to be doing the same thing this year since they lost Lebron. Could losing Billups have had the same effect for Pistons?

by Willie D on Dec 5, 2010 7:22 PM CST up reply actions

I think it did. You wouldn’t expect it, because he’s not that big a superstar. He probably was a true leader, and the Pistons couldn’t take the loss of their leader.

From At The Hive:

This will go down as the last game under owner George Shinn in franchise history. By Wednesday, the official owner will be the NBA (or more specifically, the 29 other NBA teams). Since the team is under the tax, questions of how much money the new “owner” would spend are elementary at this point. However, if management wanted to exceed the luxury tax to acquire a new player (say, Iguodala), I highly doubt the NBA would approve it unless the associated earnings were projected to exceed the tax amount (hunch: they won’t).

What does this mean exactly? We’re literally going to own part of the Hornets? :)
