Spurs didn’t really play the full 4th quarter though. That number is a little less story telling of the game.

by grego21 on Dec 27, 2010 1:50 AM CST up reply actions

that was a thoroughly unfulfilling win.

Boring as hell. The Wizards are one of those mediocre teams that just lead to mediocre basketball.

I did a lot of soul searching. I didn't find anything.

Good to see Hill back and playing well

Unfufilling? Poppycock. This win was forgettable. Anything besides an absolute shellacking (or a loss!) would be forgettable.

Any game against this Wizards team is forgettable.

Hill will be really necessary for our perimeter defense
Jefferson is reverting back to the first version slowly but surely

by biolb on Dec 26, 2010 8:14 PM CST reply actions

I dont agree Jefferson has palyed well sure he isnt palying as well as early but he has hit big shots when we needed them in most games all year and he husltes so much more than last year

but the perimeter defense is what makes me cringe.
Here is the key to our playoff success. Remember the Suns.

by biolb on Dec 26, 2010 8:21 PM CST up reply actions

He’s had some solid defensive games against the opposing talent.

by grego21 on Dec 27, 2010 1:51 AM CST up reply actions

I wouldn’t say that about RJ. He’s had some mistakes, but he definitely knows what he’s supposed to do out there.

He had a bad game, but he still rebounded better than at any time last year.

by CapHill on Dec 26, 2010 8:17 PM CST up reply actions

HIs overall D is better on average. His 4th quarter FG/3pt shooting is lights out this year. He’s shooting in the 60%’s during the 4th quarter.

by grego21 on Dec 27, 2010 1:51 AM CST up reply actions

78 and 4 is still possible. Hope I can type that after Tuesday’s game

by Spurlady on Dec 26, 2010 8:14 PM CST reply actions

Well, unless something happened to your fingers, you should be able to type it even if it weren’t true.

by greyberger on Dec 26, 2010 8:17 PM CST up reply actions

Hill was impressive tonight, and I didn’t expect him to play as many minutes. Nice to have Georgie back.

With all due respect, gentlemen, we're not as crazy as she is.

by CapHill on Dec 26, 2010 8:20 PM CST reply actions

Well that sucks, I didn’t get fret til right now and I finally get on here and the quick cap is already up! Darn, I missed the whole game.

Glad we got the win anyway, despite Neal 0-5 from three, ouch. Allowing the Wizards their first road win would have been truly humiliating. Glad Hill is back, looks good from the stat line in his limited minutes.

POp still not playing splitter much huh. Too bad, I though this one would maybe get him some more practice.

“See” y’all for the Lakers game on Tuesday!

Go Spurs!

Aw geez, Atlanta is down 6 to the Hornets with 24 seconds left… and they forget they need to foul.

by greyberger on Dec 26, 2010 8:21 PM CST reply actions

Despite CP3’s punkness, I actually like the Hornets, especially when they’re not a threat to us in the standings. Really, I thought that start was a bit of a fluke, but there’s too much season left for us to be sure.

Chauncey Billups just bounced a pass off of K-Mart’s head to an open JR Smith, who made the shot.

well, I woke up from my nap at the middle of the 4th quarter, to 3 or 4 consecutive spurs turnovers which wasn’t fun. Nothing I didn’t know already, Spurs continue to play down to their opponents, Spurs always play crappy when I watch while being sober, and the Wizards are the Wizards.

I was at the game and every time I looked it seemed that Udoka was playing is that a good thing? only in a blow out, but the spurs let them come back to a reasonable score to many times.

Big yawner. But a win is a win, and 26-4 is damn good. I like that Pop limited everyone’s minutes (except Tony’s) even while the game was close. Keeps the team fresh and the bench active with a tough stretch starting Tuesday. I feel confident saying that our guys will be more active and energetic for those games.

I also like seeing an opponent shoot under 40% no matter who it is. Defense-first principles have to start somewhere.

Thank you SF Giants for an incredible 2010 season and painting the City orange & black!
You gotta bring ass to get ass.
I vow to never mention "playoffs" and "49ers" together again until we have a "quarterback."

Recap is up.

"We suck on 'D. Both individually and team-wise, we suck. We're pretty consistent that way. I don't know if I have an answer to that. If I did, we wouldn't suck quite so bad." - Popovich

Pop Should play with splitter in the first quarter …
Because he looks like he dont know what to do, specially after the a screen its look like he always is expecting the pick &roll from tony and if that is not the play … he get lost
