RJ just missed a double-double by one board.
TD did get another double-double.
Manu had 26 points and the game-winner.
Parker had 8 assists to go with his 16 points.
Surprisingly, the bench wasn’t as dominant

Hey, if posting a sharp, insightful, yet non-sarcastic comment were that easy, even olf would do it.

George looked really bad out there for some reason. And Dejuan’s D left a lot to be desired. We’ll take the win though.

Guards maybe bothered by Bogut inside. Not sure what’s up with DeBeast, wasn’t thrilled with him trying the Euro two-step again and failing… twice.

It’s not a travel because he only had one hand on the ball, therefor he is mid dribble, when he pushed off with his left foot to initiate the jump stop. It just looks like a travel cause he was going backwards but it is technically the same as performing a forwards jump stop mid dribble.

by turnitin.com on Dec 16, 2010 3:44 AM CST up reply actions

you can get a clear look in the side view portion of the GIF that he did not technically pick up his dribble prior to jumping

btw, this is probably less of an example of Manu The Anomaly and more one of the inadequacy of stat lines to capture the importance of a players impact on a game. Anyone who watched the game would say that, despite his mistakes (e.g. 4 turnovers), Manu was the man of the game. Not just the game-winner, but a critical three late in the 4th quarter, key assist to Parker, etc.

You mean about them looking at Manu’s play about five times and saying that it was a travel? That’s pretty bold — or stupid — of him, since you know that tons of people are looking at the play on ESPN tonight. I guess you see what you want to see…

Hey, if posting a sharp, insightful, yet non-sarcastic comment were that easy, even olf would do it.

Wow, watching Pop’s post-game interview, he seems pretty upset about the way they let the Bucks back into the game and had to pull it out for a ‘lucky’ win.

ha, CDR’s face is classic

I’ve got the shot from the opposite angle in my photo post.

Your pic of the shot is better imho…. Luc looks like a ballet dancer in that one. And since he’s not looking at Manu, but in your camera’s direction instead, it made me wonder how badly Manu’s jump-back move faked him out.
