Can anyone remember (or look up) the last time the Spurs had a bench playing this well?
This years bench has 5 guys averaging over 5 ppg. 6 if you count Anderson. With 2 guys (Red Rocket and Hill) averaging over 8 ppg. I know that that's not indicative of merely how good the bench players are. But instead it shows more of how well the team is moving the ball. I bet Jared Jackson, Mario Elie, and Brent Barry would have loved to played on this year's team.
Will someone please get the word out that Duncan's drop in numbers do not mean his level of play is dropping? With Manu being a starter, and RJ getting more involved, someone has to take fewer shots. I know he's not like he was 5 years ago, but he's probably not much different than last year's Timmy. I give him credit for adapting to a smaller role for the sake of the team.
