This image provided by NOAA shows a deep-sea Chimera in waters off Indonesia in July, 2010. Chimeras are most closely related to sharks, although their evolutionary lineage branched off from sharks nearly 400 million years ago, and they have remained an isolated group ever since. According to scientists the lateral lines running across this chimera are mechano-receptors that detect pressure waves (like ears). The dotted-looking lines on the frontal portion of the face (near the mouth) are ampullae de lorenzini and detect perturbations in electrical fields generated by living organisms. Nope.
LatinD always says that the game threads is where the magic happens.
So, whenever someone says something memorable in a game thread, I mark it by commenting “magic” so it’s easy to go back and find them later for the quick caps.
That way, people who weren’t able to make the thread, can still get a “best of” feel for what the thread was like, without having to read through twelve hundred comments.
The point with intangibles is that no one can see them.
Awww, I don’t know whether to be verklempt or throw up.
That must be the magic… don’t you think?

'Offensive rebounding' is a gross understatement of DeJuan Blair's skill. It is far beyond 'offensive' and should be qualified as 'Get The Hell Out of My Way Or I'll Tear Your Arms Off and Eat Your Babies' rebounding.

Blocks (without fouling) take great timing and footwork.
But dunks usually mean two points, whereas a block could still turn into another possession by the other team.
Nice board by Neal in traffic.

Personally, I have a soft spot for Winter/Spring 2008 Manu.
Taking over games in all sorts of ways, and scoring in the 40s.
The point with intangibles is that no one can see them.
So many wonderful vintages of the Manu.
OK… I’ll take Manu in the last two minutes of any tight, meaningful game. 2003 – 2015.

I still remember his steal on the baseline of a tight meaningful game in the first round of the 2003 playoffs. I remember thinking about how I’d never seen anyone attack an offensive player from quite that angle before.
The subsequent possession iced the game, if memory serves, and I couldn’t stop geeking out over it.
The point with intangibles is that no one can see them.
they should’ve been brought Neal in though. I am guessing it is something POP doesn’t like about the guys game

It’s still early, but someone needs to tell Jalen Rose that the non-contending Spurs are winning 86% of their games.
Just like in 1999 when Damon Stoudamire said The Spurs would never win a championship with AJ running the point.
