Well, it’s been fun. But it’s a long season and I must pace myself.

Any person who has a ton of time on their hands going to do the cap? I’m NOT volunteering, okay?!

I will remember that. I’m just still rather new to this site.
Great people, great comments, insightful break-downs… just wish I’d known about it sooner.
I found this place by some fool on SAExpressNews mentioning it. Praise be to Allah for that!

Welcome and may you stay for a long time

Missed the game, and I know we pissed away a nice first quarter lead and lost… but overall, how did everyone look?
we kinda won.

The starters look great, I hope Pop sticks with that starting lineup

I’m out as well. Got a riveting day of defensive driving tomorrow.
Basically voted most normal person on PtR.

Peace out. It’ll be nice when I don’t have a 5am wake-up time anymore.
Gregg Popovich - The Zen Curmudgeon
Iullaby’s recapitration of today’s preseason game of the San Antonio Spurs v. The Houston (aka The City of Syrup) Rockets:
Manu Ginobili did not evolve into GINOBILI!!! but, it’s only preseason.
Cousin is pronounced KOOO-ZAAAAHN!! Also, he was very impressive
Penney is not ready for the NBA and, maybe, not ready for the D-League.
Arejay evolved into Rayje and unleashed his new abilities on the Rockets.
TeaPee smelled less like Tea Pee and more like healthy excrement.
We look great, guys. (and my hands hurt)
¡VamoSpurs! - me.
You are going to fit in just fine around here…
Lauri: thank goodness I have you magnificent bastards to waste [the offseason] with.
I don’t know if anyone’ll even see this, but did ya see Bogans get dunked on?!..
funny stuff…

So…. if one of the goals of pre-season is to identify who’s gonna be the backup SF, why was RJ in the game for over 30 minutes? It seems to me that it would have been useful if the backup candidates had been played more, in that spot, either with the starters or likely rotation players. That said, I guess playing RJ may have been a show of Coach’s confidence in him.
Pop can’t say that Blair has no moves anymore…. I’m liking the strength and depth of our front line.
Our vaunted team of sharpshooters has yet to demonstrate their effectiveness to me… 4 for 16 is not gonna get it done/
Hey, if posting a sharp, insightful, yet non-sarcastic comment were that easy, even olf would do it.

Since RJ has been re-working his game, I’m thinking they need him to do it with the team in real life situations. Thats the only way it’s going to stick. There’s more time to sit down with him and evaluate his game film when there’s less worrying about winning the games and your regular season record. Gist, got a good amount of time. Simmons as well. Gee’s the only one who really didn’t get time.
Very good point. I hadn’t thought of it that way, but you’re right. We worry about the backup SF after we make sure of our starting SF.

Damn….I missed the game today. I was dealing with LIFE while you folks were enjoying our good old young spurs. What is the verdict? Who is going to be cut next? Is this guy wearing No.20 any good?
Keep the faith!!
Penny and Jerrells are probably next up.
The team played well.
The surprise of the game definitely was Cousin.
The starters looked good.
Blair’s hard work looks like it is paying off.
RJ definitely looks more like he belongs/feels like he belongs better. His numbers definitely make it look deceiving.
Well Manu is Manu.
He’s like the rain. You know it’s going to come and stuff is going to get wet. He’s always going to bring something.
