DTOUR: Week of 10/3
Discuss!
I started up a fantasy league for PtR users. If you're interested in joining, post something here and I'll send you an email (whatever is on your SBNation profile).
In other news, Spurs had their open practice Sunday afternoon ("Game"Thread here | Spurlady account of the action here). What did you think? See anything you like/didn't like?

Personally, I’d rather talk about deep fried beer, as I’m not a big corndog fan. Any of you Texans tried that yet?
With all due respect, gentlemen, we're not as crazy as she is.
Correct me if I’m wrong, Texans, but the Texas State Fair is known for deep frying anything and everything (i’ve only been once as a kid). They have an annual competition for the latest and greatest deep fried creations. Apparently, this guy spent 3 years trying to come up with a way to deep fry beer. It sounds really good, so I was wondering if anyone had tried it.

Quick Question...
Does anyone here use the NBA league pass? I’m probably going to get it anyway, but I’m curious about the apparently intentionally-vague blackout rules? How often are Spurs games blacked out in SA?
chaos... panic... pandemonium... my work here is done.
Spurs games will always be blocked out in SA. If it is on your local station, National TV, Cable or playing in some Meteore zooming past earth (the last one may or not be true) you wont be able to watch the game. The worst blackout is when the game is on NBA TV (included the weekly fan pick game, so you cant even plan around not seeing the game till that night) games also get blocked out….which makes me mad. and makes me think about not getting NBA league pass this year…but i would hate to be stuck to watching the mavericks to get my basketball fix.

TIM!
hope you weren’t driving just now, and hope you got pictures of this ish.
"I’ve been in the league 14 years and I don’t think I’ve been called for a carry yet. It’s news to me," "I’ve never heard anyone complain about me carrying the ball. The best coach in the league Gregg Popovich didn’t have a problem with it last week."
Eh, all the really nasty stuff happened while I was at work. I’ll have something for you in a minute though.
Gregg Popovich - The Zen Curmudgeon
I think my GF got some good ones…dude the hail was literally golf ball size and bigger in Scottsdale. what did it look like in chandler?

Oh, hail? Funny you should mention it. That’s what I hear hitting my window now. Anyway, here’s the result of what happened earlier:

Hey guys, who is working on our season preview article? Just curious.
"I like the fact that he’s a man." – Hubie Brown on DeJuan Blair
It’s sort of a committee approach, actually. Parts of it our done, but some of us(like, for example, me) haven’t finished their part yet.
Gregg Popovich - The Zen Curmudgeon
I had a feeling that’s how it would be done. It makes sense to have a number of minds to present our team to the rest of the fans here on SB Nation.

i’m going a little off topic here, but i had to share this with someone…….
so, i live in cincinnati and i’m ambling thru northern kentucky (right across the ohio river from me) a few weeks ago when i got a speeding ticket. i didn’t have an updated insurance card on me, so i had to take my proof to court in order to get the charge waived and all that.
well, my court appearance was today and the judge…..well the judge was none other than Gregory T Popovich.
I wanted very much to crack some kind of Spurs joke – or at least ask the dude if he ever heard about having the same name as an NBA coach, etc. however, i thought better of it and just showed my proof, paid my speeding ticket and got out of there……..but it is funny or ironic or something…..right?

Now I want to ask that judge what happened to his extraneous G.
