The Crown Tail Betta has a striking, elaborate tail that differentiates it from other Bettas. The Crown Tail has a teardrop shape to its tail while the Twin Tail is split, almost giving the suggestion of having two tails. The Crown Tail Betta is a type of “Siamese” Fighting Fish. These fish have been bred over the years to enhance the fins and remarkable variety of colors of the males, as well as making them increasingly combative. Therefore, only one male should be kept in a tank; however, smaller, shorter-finned females may be housed together with caution. In addition, a male and a female should only be housed together temporarily for breeding purposes. Females can be as colorful as the males, although, they rarely have the long finnage that is seen with the males.

with NOH and TOR winning, does that make our record against winning teams better?

I have no idea where that came from. I’d forgotten how strange you are.

No one was around…Get it? You desperately seek human contact? Forget it, it takes away all the fun when you have to explain it.

Not me. I’m eating white chocolate.

Real men and women eat dark chocolate, preferably 65 to 70%.

I agree. Dark’s the best. But I only had white in the fridge. And it was begging me to eat it.

Ouch. Well at least it was a “road” loss.

The Spurs - now playing like sh*t again!

by Tim C. on Jan 7, 2010 1:37 AM CST up reply actions

The problem, is the Lakers are getting their losses out of the way, which mean it’ll be harder for the Spurs. But then the Lakers will always play at their level when they play a top notch team like the Spurs (probably the team they get up for the most).

Although Gasol is injured for a while and the Lakers do have a poor bench. But that means nothing if the Big 3 + RJ don’t show up + Mason off the bench (since Bonner/Finley are out taking away potential 3’s).

it’ll be harder for the Spurs

I would think that now would be the time to beat the Lakers with Gasol out. The way they’ve been playing they are certainly beatable, but we’ll see.

Yeah, but when guys are injured, teams tend to play it more relaxed. That’s why it will be bad. Having said that, the Spurs are missing two of their 3 point shooters.

Generally wins against the Lakers mean Spurs have racked up at least 6-8 3PM with a good percentage and shot around 47% (overall FG%). Mason has been hot, but even with his contribution off the bench (you are asking a lot) if Manu/Parker/Duncan don’t have stellar games.

Spurs are also playing Lakers on the tail end of their trip, which kind sucks for them. We’ll see. I don’t care if they lose, but as long as its a good loss (like a last second shot by Kobe after a hard fought game) as opposed to losses like the Nuggets and Celtics where they blew it by shotty play.

by grego21 on Jan 7, 2010 2:58 AM CST up reply actions

about 3’s… The Lakers defend the 3-point line better than any team in the league, so I don’t want the Spurs taking a lot of threes anyway. Almost unbelievably, they’re a bit more vulnerable on the interior… I hope Pop tells them to attack the rim in that game next week.

It was ugly. No excuse but it was the third game in four nights. And I much prefer they beat the Mavs & Rockets and drop one to the Clips.

Lakers next game is Friday up in Portland. I am hopeful that they can beat the banged-up Blazers and get that “never win in Portland” thing off their back.
