Duncan as a player-coach?
TIm could coach this team, especially since he and Pop share one collective mind. Not that it would make the team any younger, but it'd be cool to see.

Reminds me of a former player here in the Philippines named Robert Jaworski who was a player-coach for his team (Barangay Ginebra).
If you liked it then you should have put a 5th ring on it. Oh oh oh.
hate.

Kobe to his team: “bust your ass on defense and get out of my way on offense. seriously just trust me guys.”
Tim to his team: “I only have 20 seconds to explain the theory of relitivity and how it relates to this next play but I think you’ll find it quite useful….”

I read that but didn’t really have much to say about it (that is unlike me I know). At this point I tend to forget that Kobe skipped college so I am sure that Duncan learned something at Wake Forrest. But I would venture to say that both Kobe and Duncan are comparably advanced as students of the NBA.
Regarding coaching I am sure Kobe would be a turrible coach. He’s way too competitive. In the past the Lakers have tried several players as a head coach including both Magic Johnson & Jerry West. They didn’t have enough patience and Kobe’s much less patient than either of those two.
Btw. . .little known fact of the day:
Pat Riley led the 1966 University of Kentucky basketball team, to the NCAA title game, where they lost to Texas Western (now known as UTEP).
He was a versatile athlete who was drafted by both the “San Diego Rockets” in the 1st round of the 1967 NBA Draft, and also as a wide receiver by the Dallas Cowboys in the 11th round of the 1967 NFL Draft.
Which of these things is not like the others? 15 NBA Championships, most wins in NBA history, current NBA champions, lost by 20 to the F'ing Spurs.

I believe they made that into a movie called “Glory Road”. Awesome flick.
