Rockets @ Spurs: The "Haven't We Seen This Before" 2nd Half Thread
I hate the Jazz right now. Why, you ask? Because this game is looking suspiciously like the last one, and we all know how that turned out. Let's at least hope for a decent fish.
Rant and rave away, my fellow masochists!

cause they’re not vampires, they’re fairies.
Even if they were vamps they can’t go outside if there’s clouds overhead. Light still penetrates through the clouds. If this was not true, the screen would be pitch black.

Jackknife Fish. Equetus lanceolatus
The jackknife fish (Equetus lanceolatus) is an interesting shaped fish from the family Sciaenidae.
This fish isn’t as commonly found in the home aquarium as many other marine fish species, but it is an interesting and graceful fish.
Jackknife fish are found in the Western Atlantic and Caribbean.
It reaches a size of approximately 10 inches (25 cm) when full-grown.
It is a shy fish and needs plenty of hiding spots in the form of caves and crevices from well-established live rock.
Jackknife fish will often eat the inhabitants of a reef tank, such as ornamental shrimps, polychaete worms, and sometimes, fireworms. They will also eat small reef fish.
The jackknife fish is somewhat difficult to feed in captivity.
This is typically the problem when bringing a fish species into captivity, such as the jackknife fish, and then not providing it with the reef inhabitants it normally finds to eat in its natural habitat. We don’t want our reef inhabitants to be eaten, but getting a new fish that is used to eating off the reef to eat a substitute diet is often difficult.
In the beginning it won’t recognize frozen marine foods as fish food. This is why having well-established live rock and sand available is so important. At least this fish is used to finding food from these sources.
To keep a jackknife fish healthy and happy you’ll need a spacious aquarium with plenty of hiding places. Also, don’t overcrowd their tank. It is best to only keep them with peaceful species, and don’t keep them with small fish that may become their dinner unless this is what you intend to have happen.
You may keep more than one jackknife fish in your aquarium as long as they are added at the same time. Make sure there is plenty of room and hiding spots for everyone.
Jackknife fish can be obtained for about $75 each.

i feel your pain, this past decade I’ve hated the Lakers organization and their fans (add Stern in) with such a passion it is too hard to describe; i’ve been a Spurs fan ever since they got Duncan, who was my favorite college player growing up; anyways, Laker fans are the most dumbest, ignorant buffoons when it comes to sports knowledge I’ve ever met, proof: even as a Spurs fan, I can’t deny that there is no way in hell we are winning a ring with this roster (anyone except Duncan, Hill, Blair, Manu, and TP- if he starts playing some damn defense) should be available by the trade deadline if we want to go anywhere

RJ and Mahinmi to the Nooch for West, Posey and Julian Wright.
damn, this trade would be great for us, we get David West, who can actually succeed along Tim Duncan as far as production goes, have Blair and Ginobili come off the bench (with Posey and Wright and finley) too unbelievable bench for words, then start Mason in either SG or SF with Hill, Duncan, Parker, and West; over-speculating, but any trade sounds amazing at this point

Jefferson, Bonner, Finley, and Yawn to Washington for Butler and Jamison
Butler is tougher and better than RJ. Move Mace into the starting lineup with TP, Jamison, Butler and Duncan. 3 of the guys played together in Washington, so they should have some chemistry. And then our bench is Hill, Ginobili, McDyess, Blair and maybe Bogans or Hairston….. I mean, it will never happen just like the other trade, but these kind of games and efforts make me wonder what could be….

So here’s my question, since I couldn’t watch the game, how do we lose when the Big 4 scores :
Duncan : 24
Parker : 22
Jefferson : 14
Ginobili : 15
Are we that bad that we can have our 4 top players score in double figures and we still lose? At home? To a team that has their stars hurt?
Lack of closing out? Lack of hustle? Does this team just lack the focus and ability defensively that they used to?
I know we all keep waiting for the rodeo trip to turn it on, but the warning lights seem to be flashing on this team…and have been for most of the season. Just feels like we’re a first round exit waiting to happen, and then we’re all on here that night posintg how we should have seen it coming all along….
which of course isn’t something that can just be turned on either. i’m surprised we haven’t seen more passion out of mcdyess and RJ. seeing how both came from bad situations and want a ring. and i don’t know how long they can get along with the “we’ll turn it on in the 2nd half of the season” talk.
and i love the trade idea. posey and west would bring a little toughness and wright is long and athletic, although that probably means Pop wouldn’t play him.
