Manu explains it all...
Just like most of us thought, the newspaper misinterpreted things...

After I re-read the translation of the article and thought about what I have come to know about the Argentine press and their coverage of Manu, I came to the same conclusion about noon today. But, I do think Manu is playing a little mind game via the media to try to get the front office to open negotiations – same game other free agents like LeBron and DWade are playing from time to time. Incidentally, Manu’s body language on the bench tonight was different – more subdued and kept to himself more than usual. Maybe reacting to the storm caused by the article? But his play on the court spoke louder than his bench body language – he gave it everything he had, logged a lot of minutes (most on the team tonight), and I’m sure being tired in the second half led to some of the subdued body language.
I prefer this version.
Very good game from Manu yesterday, his best this season, me thinks. Too bad that the rest of the team wasn’t up to par.
One thing that I want to add : Manu should think that if he goes elsewhere for the money, his new fans will be much more demanding than us, who can thank him for a few titles. It’s much safer for him to stay in San Antonio. Let’s hope that the front office offer him the opportunity, which should be the case since age doesn’t bother Pop at all.
You may have just one the understatement of the year with this.
since age doesn’t bother Pop at all.

I dunno. I think we should all be a little worried.
Manu is at a crossroads of sorts. He is about to become a father to twins. Hes fabulously wealthy. Hes a legend in his home country, and his body doesnt let him do what he used to do on a regular basis. He might just decide he wants to raise his children in Argentina, and say " F$CK the NBA , I cans still play for the my National team "
I think he might decide to call the NBA quits solely for the aformentioned reasons, and just use the lack of negotiations as an excuse to do it.
Hate to be a downer. I hope Im just trippin.
...Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is forty five.
there’s a glitch in the matrix.
