Get your PtR phone app now on the iPhone and G1/Android
You can now get Pounding the Rock on your iPhone/iPod Touch or G1. Yep, the PtR phone app is out and in the app store nearest you. SBNation and Notice Software have teamed up to give you THE best way to keep up with the Spurs and PtR this season. All the articles, fanposts, and fanshots will be right there a touch away. It will let you know there is something new to read with a notification whenever we post something on the site (Make sure to say yes to notifications and then yes again to alerts, you can turn them off later if you want). You’ll also be able to share stories with your friends via email and Twitter. You cannot, however, read and post comments yet. We’ll get that feature to you next.
Other apps are available for Blogging the Boys, Bright Side of the Sun, and Clips Nation. The bloggers all get a piece of the sales pie, so this is your chance to support us. The PtR app is free. Find out why beyond the jump. So have at it and tell your friends.
Your Pounding the Rock iPhone link. (go get it, it's free!!)
You may have noticed I haven't been around much lately. I've been a bit busy. One of the things I have been busy with is a new little company called Notice Software that does smartphone applications. We have partnered with SBNation to do a pilot program with 4 blogs. We want to work out the kinks with a couple of the sites and see how it goes.
I think you will really like the phone app version of PtR. It's pretty slick looking and fast. And it's addictive. It's like being at your computer all the time. Yeah, I know, the last thing you needed to do was to spend more time at PtR.
Let me know what you think.

Boooooooo the App Store sucks!
Hey I have an idea for an app, ready? Okay, it’s for Spurs fans mainly but can be for anybody, so it has broad market appeal. Scenario: Suns fan tells you that if it wasn’t for Stern the Suns would’ve been champions in ’07. Solution: You take out your iPhone, and play this little app called Joe Wilson that simply says, YOU LIE!.

Mr. Immigrant. If you know your way around the app store, I think you’ll also like the Calitics app.

Too excited for words
This is THE REASON that I bought an iPhone! (ok, not really, but I’m still very amped.)
Just downloaded the app and I’m geeking out over my month-old iPhone all over again.

I’ll try this later. To be honest, I didn’t like the mobile version of PTR. I think it wouldn’t let me see new comments or something. And you couldn’t use the “Z.” I hope this is better.

Oh well. It requires 3.0. ATS, would you be a doll (?) and pull the strings to have it support 2.2?

Any ETA on commenting and the ability to see (and search) all of the stories archives? And don’t forget fanposts!

What about Fanposts? Fanposts are there. So are Fanshots.
