Top 10 defenders in the past decade
an ongoing series of various things during the offseason. TD is #4. Somehow Garnett is #1. I think the person making the list forgot about the first part of the decade, as a lot of people on the list were nobody's and/or not the players they are now. whatever.

I definately think that both TD and Bruce should be ranked higher, I am biased, also. Artest should be lower, Ben Wallace- eh, I’d have to say lower too…but the did win DPOY 4 times? (which is arguable in itself!), Battier…make him a Spur! KG- LOWER! I was pleasently surprised to see him on the list, but I’d say the 10 spot is fair, if anything.
Someone had a response on 48MoH the other day about bringing Captain Kirk to the Spurs…would anyone be too opposed to that? I’ve seen him play quite a bit over the past few years, and I think he’s solid. The guy will play defense, and he does not grip about playing time (see: Derrick Rose coming aboard last year and taking his starting spot.) I believe he’s battled a few injuries. But, I’d have to say he’s pretty consistent- no flashy numbers, but you know what you’re going to get every night.
"He's one of the best power forwards of all time. I take my hands off to him."
- Scottie Pippen, talking about Tim Duncan on ESPN
Check out Kobe’s shoe in the pic with Bruce defending him. I know he’s putting a lot of force down into the floor, but that’s an awful lot of shoe that’s nowhere near staying on the sole of his foot.
This must be a post-Colorado picture. No way Nike let’s him suffer with those kinds of shoes while he was a marquee guy for them.
