The Confessions Of An NBA Scorekeeper - Nick Van Exel - Deadspin
I'm the first to admit that I am not a fan of Deadspin, but this article is an interesting expose (how do you make that squiggly thing on top of the e?) on how NBA scorekeepers make up their own rules.

Yeah, I’d seen that. It was in a forum before Deadspin.
It really sucks that people would do that, because it takes the fun out of every record.

Wow… how naive can I get? I wonder what happens in the Spurs stadium.

In SA the scorekeepers call the shots so scrupulously (because of the shadow of the man of integrity) that they would rather allow the opposing team to get a shot off when there’s not enough time to do so (.4 anyone?) than be seen as part of a cheating organization.

Oh my goodness… I wanted to rec this, but I think I’d rather that people don’t know this. What does this say of Duncan’s near-quadruple double? That was at home. Now I feel bad for breaking NBA Live records with a player-locked Robert Horry.

You’re getting better at this. But I think the hyphenation probably wouldn’t happen in a true Argentine post.
