Antonio McDyess, Good not Great.
I am really excited that the spurs picked up a good big man. Antonio is a big basher who can spread the floor with a baby jumper, kinda like David picked up in his last years. He is someone who can gaurd and be gaurded by an opposing center. These skills are the assets that allow for Duncan to dominate, well make it easier at least cause we all know its happening either way.
The problem I have is that we offered him our MLE for 3 years, $15 milly guarunteed. I cant help but think its a bit much for a Kurt Thomas upgrade. Maybe I'm just sore that Thomas wasn't as productive as the spurs had hoped. I just don't want to take the risk on someone on the downside of their career, like Thomas.
I dunno, maybe I'm bitter. Anyone else share a similar opinion? Or am I just wrong?

I think we all worry that it won’t work out, but reading Varner’s post over at 48 helped to ease my mind a bit.

Retire Bowen's #12!
Ya a little. I cant help but think we had better options in the trade. There hasn’t been news on Chandler lately. How amazing would that aquisition be?

Quickly: It was the best option available. We need to win now. Let’s roll the dice.

Whether intentional or not. Great pun. I like it.
