Pounding the Rock is Awesome!

I don't know how I found PtR, but I have bookmarked it.  As a Spurs fan, I feel it is essential reading.  The blogs are insightful, and the different authors, all loving the Spurs are outstanding.  I also appreciate the lack of bashing of other teams and players.  ATS is wonderful at getting to the heart of the matters.

Star-divide

I have been a Spurs fan since David Robinson came to town.  He gave 100% to the Spurs, without regard for coaches and supporting cast.  He was a class act on or off the court.  That has continued to be the trademark of the Spurs, as the mantle of class was handed to Tim.  The new cast seems to following the same guidelines, respect...for the game, themselves and the fans.  The year's group looks to be awesome!  A local radio personality that I don't care for, said it best, "God is on the side of the Spurs".  The Jefferson trade caught us all by surprise, a pleasant surprise to say the least.  And Draft night!  It may be just me, but I think DeJuan can be a beast under the basket.  And then McDyess!  Two veterns to tutor the young Blair, on how the Game is played.  It looks like a great year!

On another note, I met Matt Bonner last year.  He and his wife came to the place I was working.  He was a gentleman and very fan friendly.  Someone you would have been proud to take home to introduce to the family.  I became a Red Rocket fan.

How can anyone look at Tim, Tony, Manu, and now Jefferson, McDyess, Blair, etc.  And not think the Spurs are the team to beat???  The only thing that can keep the Spurs from winning it all, is injuries.  There is nothing that can be done about that.  So....GO SPURS GO!!!!!

To close this, PtR is a wonderful find, the blogs are great, ATS is great.  And the Spurs season is going to be....GREAT!!!  Thanks to everyone who adds to this sight, keep the hits a-coming!

You might have to bust him down to SpursTalk for a week or two . . . see if he can get his rhythm back . . .

But if he keeps this up, I’d think about shopping him around some — see what we can get for him at Silver Screen and Roll, maybe, or Mavs Moneyball?

how do you explain TC’s without mentioning Bowen travel mugs or Sean Elliot? It is also a great place to pick up those spurs schedule little booklet things. They also specialize in misspelling their signs as my personal favorite was “WE NOW HAVE SMOOTIES” when they added tropical smoothies to the menu.

Did we really just add a player good enough to be guarded by Bruce Bowen?

By the way, one of the inside jokes around here is the way we choose to intentionally misspell certain words — as a way to immortalize the typos of our virtual friends. One of the first (if not the first) of these is OTSTANDING. Feel free to go here to get the backstory.

Again welcome, and make yourself at home.

I realise I won't accomplish much

mainly because I predict the zombie outbreak will happen in the year 2012 (that’s not my 2012 thing because the 2012 thing is irrelevant) and will be caused by RAGE virus test on humans gone wrong. What is RAGE virus? RAGE is a virus that affects the mind and causes the infected to consume others of it’s kind in order to spread the infection. This virus has been successfully tested on rats and is still being studied. RAGE virus victims don’t eat other RAGE virus victims. Two RAGE rats in a cage will not attack each other and will in fact at as the other didn’t exist.

And unlike the common slow moving zombies, RAGE does hot hamper physical abilities. In fact, it heightens them. RAGE rats have been recorded as running faster for longer periods of time, though their reaction time is greatly hampered as a result.

And yes a person infected will die and come back to life. The RAGE virus spreads to the brain and kills the brain, then reactivates and controls the brain, thus making “the dead walk”

Plus the Haitians have successfully created and killed a human zombie. But it’s Haiti so I’m not worried about that.

I have this brilliant business plan. As long as we all have to suffer through the zombie craze, why not convert all those clown colleges that sprang up during the clown craze into zombie colleges? No more of these amateurish zombie hi-jinks — we deserve professional, classically-trained zombies with real (undead) range.

Possible bonus: Zombie clowns.
