Some extra: here's Blair answering some questions from fans. I like this kid already, and is it me or does he look thinner?

He is thinner – he’s been dropping weight over the summer.
Bring back Bruce, and free James Gist!
Pounding the Rock - where RJ happens.
That was my impression too
he looks leaner, perhaps the reports of losing 30lbs are correct
Okay, just so I understand it... in your wildest fantasy, you are in hell. And you are co-running a bed and breakfast with the devil.
I think we should start calling him the round mound of sponge bob! Or just the rebound sponge, the guy just soaks up rebounds.

That’s a good point. How about Sponge ‘Bound? Dammit, it’s gonna be hard to beat Charles’ Round Mound of Rebound.

He started losing weight last winter — as of November 2008 he weighed ten pounds less than he had the previous season. SI published an article about it subtitled “The Blair Weight Project.” ::groan::
And as rikiddo said, he has continued to lose weight. I think I heard the ESPN guys on draft night say he has lost 30 more pounds since April.
DJB is a beast
Just wait till the training staff puts him on a workout routine. Because he lacks ACLs in his knees, his entire career is going to depend on how strong they keep his quads and hamstrings. As long as his foundation is solid, he’s not getting pushed around. I love this kid.
Superman wears Manu Ginobili pajamas to bed.
Hah, he said that the only thing that he’ll focus on is rebounding, not scoring or anything else. Much to learn young rookie, I’m sure he’ll be saying defense and rebounding after the end of training camp. I still love him too though.
He said that he’s kinda like Millsap, I don’t think he’s quite there yet. I see him as a rich man’s Jason Maxiell, since his offense and footwork is better than Maxiell, specially after seeing him tear up Thabeet. However, he’s not yet at the offensive level of Millsap. I hope/think he’ll be better than both of them in rebounding though.
After the question about Blair’s knees, R.C. jumps in as Blair’s answer and goes on a little leave-the-boy-alone-about-his-knees rant. Then he finishes with “I hope that’s not an issue.”
Translation: Unless there’s an injury we tell you about, that’s the last question I’m going to let you guys ask DeJuan about his knees.
For his career.
Understood?
My name is DeJuan Blair. You blocked my shot. Prepare to die. - CH&LD
I want my Manu o;—-)
Every time you guys say Blair doesn’t have any ACLs, I think about Hank Hill’s father, Cotton. You know, the guy who was super-short (hey! another resemblance to Blair!) because he lost his shins in WWII.
I was 14, just a little older than Bobby. But I knew Uncle Sam needed me, so I lied and signed up. We had beat the Nazzys in Italy, and they shipped me to the Pacific theater. A Tojo torpedo sent our troop ship to the bottom. I could only save three of my buddies: Fatty, Stinky, and Brooklyn. They were kind of like you fellas [to Bill, Dale, and Boomhauer], only one of them was from Brooklyn. Out of the sun came a Tojo Zero and put fitty bullets in my back. The blood attracted sharks. I had to give ’em Fatty. Then things took a turn for the worse. I made it to an island, but it was full of Tojos! They were spitting on the U.S. flag! So I rushed ’em, but it was a trap. They opened fire and blew my shins off. Last thing I remember, I beat ’em all to death with a big piece of Fatty. I woke up in a field hospital, and they were sewing my feet to my knees.
(In this picture, former president Jimmy Carter negotiates a peace agreement between Hank and Cotton.)

Here comes 45
This dude is a stud. He’s got Spur written all over him. I like that he knows what he is and that’s what he’s going to be. Awesome, I’m super stoked about this guy.
He looks thin even.
We specialize in misinformation around here. Facts and stats just get in the way.
