um in the Southern Hemisphere the months go in reverse order. So like January for us is December for them and our June is their July. 1-12, 2-11, 3-10, 4-9, 5-8, 6-7

You’d really think so. And I hate to be a contrarian, but since I’ve been watching these literal videos like crazy, I’ve noticed that some of them really stink, and it’s not just whether the re-singing of the song is adequate or whether they kept to the same rhyme scheme as the original (although you get major bonuses for each) but it’s whether the video has enough randomness to it, and whether what’s happening in the video is far enough removed from what the song’s about.

Then you have a perfect storm like TEotH, and you get comic brilliance.
