The Post-Draft Pulse in the West

I'm not as deep into the draft as many but I wanted to get an overview of how things went yesterday.  Here is a list of blog headlines that caught my eye.

Please note: I'm not saying the articles are worth reading and I'm too lazy to provide links to each.  But they do give a flavor of how things went.

Star-divide

The list includes Western playoff teams plus the Suns (who always seem to make me laugh) in order of their 2009 finish.
"Final thoughts on the Lakers' 2009 Draft: All hail cash considerations!" – L A Times Lakers Blog

"Last night was a huge success for the Denver Nuggets." - Pickaxe And Roll

"The San Antonio Spurs front office is smarter than you. And smarter than Kevin Pritchard." - Pounding the Rock

"I Love You Rikkido, But Gimme a Break" - Pounding the Rock

"Analysis Simplified: Why KP's Move Was Pretty Darn Smart" - Blazer's Edge

"Could Ricky Rubio be traded to the Rockets?" - The Dream Shake

"Mavs Trade Down to 24:  Take that San Antonio.  We'll see your Richard Jefferson and raise you two second round picks." - Mavs Moneyball

"How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Collison" - At the Hive

"Suns draft / trade day a dizzying mess" - Bright side of the Sun

I was thinking of making a poll out of it but I see there is already a good poll running so I won't.

I must say though my favorite is the last entry from the Suns.  (But at least they still have their 2 time MVP who can't play defense, for now.)

It always fascinates me how draft day, the free agent period and preseason allows dreams to run wild.  But enough vacation time already!  Let's lace 'em up and get back to it.  I can't wait for November!

Too bad you didn’t add links, Iaz. Would’ve come in handy.

Aw. Now you are making me feel “lazy”. Hopefully they’re not too hard to find if someone really wants to.

Plus like I said above I’m not even saying the articles themselves are worth reading.

That was totally not my intention. Nope. Not at all… :)

lol

the Mavs one made me laugh. They think two second round picks is better than RJ. I mean after all it’s not like we got Blair in the second for cripes sake.

I think that was sarcasm. Besides, our 2 second round picks are way better than theirs.

Bring back Bruce, and free James Gist!

Hard to pick but the “dizzying mess” reference in the Suns’ title just warms my heart.
