So, I've been thinking, haven't we all been dwelling a little too much on Kobe Bean's elbow and his taunting of Battier and his generally infuriating smugness? The man is talented beyond belief, obviously. He wouldn't be so hated if he sucked. And why give him the satisfaction of paying so much attention to him? Especially when there are other Lakers to talk about. For instance . . .
There's Andrew Bynum (failing to score any points going all Wayne Brady on Landry in Game 2) . . .
Pau Gasol . . .
Lamar Odom . . .
Sasha "the Machine" Vujacic (seen here being mortally wounded by Fab's wrist) . . .
and all the other fine upstanding young men in gold and purple.
I'll be watching tonight's game at home, popcorn bowl in lap. I offered to watch the game with Laker Boy, but he's been strangely quiet lately. :)
And before Hipuks says anything, I LIKE the flat froggy-face quality of the classic no-space, no-nose smiley. It somehow manages to convey both the smile, the smart-assery, and the underlying apology in one neat package.
If there's a traveling game thread sponsored by SB Nation this time around, I have no idea where it is, so someone feel free to point it out.

Blecch. I went over to Dream Shake to read the game preview, and they’re infested with Laker trolls — Laker trolls who haven’t even signed up to participate on their own Lakers blog.
Is it really more fun to trash talk other teams than to be with your own kind if you’re a Lakers fan?
Especially when Silver Screen, Gis and the other guys at SCaR are such nice, reasonable guys. There’s no accounting for taste, I guess.

Not my favorite Lakers blog. Even the big ESPN promoted Lakers blog, Forum Blue & Gold, isn’t that great either.
Although both sites are very lenient towards outsiders coming in and trashing the Lakers (but no personal attacks), unlike say… CelticsBlog here on the SBNation… the Lakers blogs are very poor overall. SCaR has nice analysis from time to time of games, but they are EXTREMELY Lakers biased. FB&G is not quite so biased, and does have nice opinions of opposing teams (you cannot dismiss every opponent. The only way to know how to beat your opponent is to know them. They DO exist, and they CAN play basketball. Which is why we give the Spurs so much respect), the site is not updated in a timely fashion. Their first comment about Yao’s injury only went up about a half hour ago, and it’s already almost game time!
Atleast it’s not as bad as the Salt City Hoops, the TrueHoop Jazz blog. They waited until AFTER the Jazz won Game 3 to even acknowledge that Utah was in the playoffs. Now that’s a bandwagoner if I ever saw one.
Well, I expect a Lakers blog to be Lakers biased.

Yeah I am too, but since they’re an east coast band, they rarely come to Texas, let alone the SA area. Last time they came here was 2005, and before that 1997, and they still have one more batch of US dates to come out this summer, so I’m hoping for at least Houston.

I’m glad JVG gets to call one of these Rockets/Lakers games. Always enjoy him (although I know he’s not to everyone’s taste).
I like his combination of insight and excitement, although in the back of my head I always see him hanging onto Zo’s lower leg.

I work with re-entry services. You wouldn’t believe how many people have done time. And a lot of them are pretty good folks nonetheless. I don’t know what Nowitzki’s fiancee’s story is, though.
