Smart-aleck remarks aside, that was a good article. Bonus points for the Timmeh and Spurs love.

the biggest problem with that article is nothing to do with the truth of it (which i believe 100%) – its the thing aldridge addresses right off the bat. the people who believe these conspiracy theories will simply say “you work for tnt/the nba, of course you’ll say that”.
whenever i see someone spouting this nonsense, i always point to the spurs as the biggest hole in their argument – theres no way on earth, if stern has that ability to change things, that san antonio wins even 1 championship, let alone 4, in the last 10 years. and the last time i did exactly that, they meekly replied that they didn’t really believe the conspiracy, despite talking about it for the previous 5 posts. morans, the lot of them.
does the league want a kobe/lebron final? of course. are they stupid enough to conspire to make it happen? hell no. for one thing, vegas would tear them apart. secondly, i don’t know enough about US law to be certain, but i think there would be major legal issues if exposed. and finally, the league would simply disappear if it did this and was found out, as no single person would trust it ever again.

Great, I should have read this before making the loser thread for game 6.
