1st Year

I've seen this sentiment posted around several times recently and I thought I'd put it in a fanpost.

I don't remember when exactly I became a Spurs fan, it was because of David Robinson. My parents thought it'd be ok for me to cheer for him since he was a high character guy, and so I was a Spurs fan. I have turned my family into Spurs fans, but I really only have a couple of friends, outside SA, that are fans with me. My brother, a renowned blogger in his own right, turn me on to PtR and I just didn't have time until this year to spend much time here.

I got moved into the office this year and so here I am, joyfully wasting time with all of y'all. I will say, this hasn't been the best year basketball wise, but I could not have had more fun talking about my favorite team. Everyone here has been extremely nice and well thought out in post and comments...for the most part. I have laughed at Stampler, Powell, Latin D, ATS and pretty much everyone else.

Last night's win at the NOOCH (one of my personal favorite names here on PtR) does, as bellasa said, seem like a microcosm of this year. Up and down, and yet these Spurs are right there in the end. The best part of this season has be sharing in the joy and misery of sport with everybody here. I know that many of us don't have the same views on any outside of the Spurs, but you wouldn't know it.

I appreciate everybody who works on this and everybody else who makes it fun for us newbie's. I've really enjoyed the time ranting about Pop and all his decisions, as well as joking around and enjoying the joy of everyone after a good win. It's a good release and I look forward to spending future seasons here making sure that our Spurs have the best damn blog out there.

Man you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. It’s about to be ON! I’m really glad to see PTR expanding. I’m happy to report that our membership has recently reached new heights. . . at 14 members strong! We’ve damn near built a coalition. We couldn’t have done it without you brotha. Hopefully by the end of the playoffs we’ll reach 20. We’re going strong and we’re glad to have you on board.

Nice post, Big50. It’s great to have you around, and I always wish for more people to join the blog and just post. I don’t ever care about the topics, just post – sit in front of their monitors and type away, join in the threads and simply have some fun.

Wouldn’t been even better if you centered the image, though. ……..Just kidding. :)
