I'm a little worried, as I'm sure most of you Spurs fans are. Why are the Spurs playing like they're afraid of winning? I understand that Manu isn't fully healthy nor is Timmeh, but losing games that are very winnable? That's not Spur like at all. The losses to Houston, Boston, OKC(twice) and the NOOCH are scary. Not really because we lost, but HOW we lost. If we play like crap and still have a chance to win, we usually do.
The Spurs are usually money in close games. We've seen bits of that lately with the Spurs scoring 6 points in 6 seconds against the Hornets and the big shots hit late in the OKC games to have a chance. The desturbing thing is that the Spurs have not closed these games out.
I will give you that Manu, our best clutch player, isn't where he needs to be, but is that a good enough reason that we're losing these close games? I don't know. The playoffs are all about who can close the best. Who can be the most clutch. It's been the Spurs for a long time, I just hope we haven't lost that ability.
