Manus magic stolen

I know I'm preaching to the choir here but this has brought me to a boil.  Last night in New Orleans win over the Mavs Chris Paul dribbled between Jason Terrys legs on a fast break and then passed to a trailing Rasual Butler for a dunk.  It shocks me how little NBA players actually, you know, pay attention to the NBA.  Weird.  Tyson Chandler was quoted as saying "I've never seen anything like it..."   And sports media professionals (jason smith) haven't either I guess.  Freaking damn idiots.  Was it not just a year ago that Manu did this, with more fluidness and grace, 4 goddamn times in one season?!  Paul does it once and everyone thinks he invents the freaking wheel.  I hate Chris Paul.  I hate ESPN.

Didn't Manu do that in the WCF in '07?

…..oh yeah, if anyone wearing Silver and Black does it, it automatically becomes “boring.” What else is new?

Shaq also majorly flopped against Manu like a month ago, but Stu and co. have no recollection of it.

Well, though I also am not fond of Chris Paul...

Manu wasn’t the first to do it, either, so I guess he stole his magic from someone else, as well.

I’m sick and tired of Chris Paul, New Orleans, and BSPN, too. It seems as if they have a highlight reel made up of Chris Paul, Lebron, D-Wade or the Celtics every day. And if the Celtics had the night off, like they did last night, ESPN will show some pointless snippet of and interview the Paul Pierce did with Magic Johnson (and how the Celtics have such great chemistry) like they just did, after the above mentioned Chris Paul.Chandler thing.

Twice ... in one game

Manu actually did it twice in one game … to the Lakers, to Fisher and to Vujacic. And my favorite Manu pass OF ALL TIME is the one from 2003 (I think, it’s on one of the Youtube mixes) in which he makes a bounce pass through a running Kobe’s legs and perfectly to Horry’s chest where he then dunks.

That was classic. Best pass in the history of the NBA. Yeah, that’s right.

I love you. I. Love. You. Really, I’m totally over Amanda. Move here and let’s start over.

P.S. Any chance you look like Malin Akerman?

Ah, it’s a tempting offer, especially at the height of allergy season here in the allergy capital of the universe.

Honesty compels me, however, to confess that I am the anti-Malin Akerman (see “Illusion-Crushing Thread”).

Again...

This is not surprising. Media loves to talk about the latest thing being the greatest thing. They are trying to build up something so they have to say ridiculous things to get you to watch. When you watch you then validate what they are saying because they get viewership and therefore they get money from sponsors. Ignore this crap….you’ll live longer.

As we are all aware, the Spurs are not media darlings. If Manu were to explode for 60/10/9 on the same night Lebron or Kobe had 30/10/10 who do you think would get more love? The Spurs a small market team. It is what it is

it is what it is
An empty statement used when there is nothing to say about something, or a situation is so screwed up that it’s not worth making an effort to fix it; a phrase masquerading as being philosophically comforting while actually confirming that the situation is too painful to deal with.
