Breakdown

  • We are winning this period. Mojo off the charts.
    • Ritas - A pre-game buzz will be integral to enjoyment.
    • Tacos - A full belly of delicious SA tacos will keep the tequila from becoming an issue.
    • Cold Beer - Suds in a plastic cup will keep everything on an even keel.

I hate to break the “illusion” of this thread, but I’m going to, just because. Whatever ritas and beers will be consumed will be consumed by Wayne alone. Unless he has been lying to me all these years for no reason whatsoever, Powell doesn’t drink (except maybe a glass of wine in Italy).

Why do we have restrictions….about cheerleaders lol? Of all things in life.

Just seems frivolous. Sure, there should be some modicum of respect towards everyone on this site, but cheerleaders hardly seem offensive enough in today’s world to be banned from an online fan forum. Or maybe there is a story I dun know?

In conversation I said, “If the Spurs lose at home against the Wizards, I’ll . . . I’ll . . . well, it doesn’t matter what, because it’s so improbable, so fill in the blank” And he said, “Eat a bug.” And I said, “Yeah, sure, I’ll . . . eat a bug.”

I think he missed a golden opportunity, but VV.

Chlamydogobius eremius “Desert Goby”. Another fish from Australia, it’s “found in freshwaters fed by artesian springs in the western and southern Lake Eyre drainage, Australia. " The cool thing about this fish, other than how it looks, it’s the wide range of conditions it can live in. It can live in a PH of 5 to 9, from freshwater to brackish water, from temperatures of 5C to 41C. This is just a tough little bastard. They’re good community fish also, as they’re not aggressive, breed easily, and don’t require that much space.

Was it more of a beach-slap or a pimp-slap?

I’m not sure of the difference between the two, but it made me feel ashamed of myself.

The celtics blazed through the regular season last year with an insane plus points differential, of about 10 pts.. ( a BIG indicator of success)

They then proceeded to lose a record amount of games in the playoffs for an eventual champion, i believe it was 12 games they lost.

How do you guys explain the big discrepancy between the celtics dominance in the regular season , and the way they struggled in the postseason ?

matchups. The hawks are actually a pretty nighmarish matchup for them. Plus the Lebron Cavs always overachieve in the playoffs.

The playoffs are a different animal. You have to give credit to the other teams also. The Eastern confernce teams where able to give more trouble to the Celtics than the Lakers.

OOOPS. Actually it was 10 games that they lost, but it was still a record for eventual champion

Rikiddo ? Hipuks ? Sin ?

The playoffs aren’t the regular season, they forgot that. And they were absolutely horrible on the road, which could be because most of them didn’t have a lot of playoff experience. KG also pulled his usual choke job, and Paul Pierce had to pull their ass from the fire.

When you look like I do it's hard to get a table for one at Chuck E. Cheese- Zach Galifianakis

The experience factor makes sense…..

by alamobro on Mar 6, 2009 10:26 PM CST up reply actions

Hmm for a long time i though the celtics were just smoke and mirrors with the way they dominated last year in the regular season , then struggled in the playoffs….

I think they just played bad for whatever reason, and i think inexperience factored into it. I think they were also probably tired from winning like 66 games or whatever it was….

In other words, i do not they are a fluke. They are VERY VERY GOOD i believe….

by alamobro on Mar 6, 2009 10:30 PM CST reply actions

No doubt they’re good. But they can be beaten. I was surprised by(but happy about) the way the Lakers not named Kobe disappeared in the Finals. I don’t think it will happen again – our big three and bench are better than theirs, and the Lakers are on a mission. I think the West is going to bring the championship back to the right conference.

Where do you live ?

by alamobro on Mar 6, 2009 10:36 PM CST up reply actions

Well. Actually theres is not as much to do down here. But its nicer in that it is a lot more mellow, wayyyy less traffic. The mountain is nice too.

Different flavor. People from phx dont seem to like it and vice versa

I see Drew Gooden is allegedly healthy enough to play. But that groin thing must be a real bitch…

Dont see cleveland getting past them ……..ever before cetics beat them , WITHOUT the big ticket

Hmph. I’ve seen a few cryptic comments from Tomasito and a brief, suspiciously elated note from bones, but otherwise not a peep from the PtR road-trippers at last night’s game. I want a full account, and I want it now. Or are you all SO hungover you’re still asleep?
