Around the NBA(Thursday night Loser Thread)
I know many of you are more than just Spur fans and love the NBA. There are many blogs to check out the daily goings on in the NBA, such as here(a personal fave of mine), here(another fave), and here. The playoffs are about to heat up your usual suspects(Spurs, Lakers, Cavs, etc.) are gearing up for long postseason runs, and your usual bottom feeders(Clippers, Grizzlies, Timberwolves, etc) playing out the string. Speaking of the Clippers, this story has piqued my attention and made me double over with laughter/disbelief. How does Isiah Thomas keep getting chances to ruin organizations/leagues? Does he perform Jedi mind tricks while being interviewed? Does he have pictures of somebody important doing something scandalous? Unbelievable. Part of me wants to see this happen because the of the inevitable laughs I will have over his incompetence. As a basketball lover, I have to draw the line. This can't happen, can it?

I am all for Zeke going to the Clippers. In a way, it’s karma for him, if you ask me.

Heeeeere we go... New Improved Loser Thread 2.1
Good evening fellow PTR’ers! We’ve got some interesting matchups tonight:
The Fakers are in Detroit to play the Pistons (I’m surprised this game isn’t on national TV),
Miami heads to the Windy City to take on the Bulls
and we hope for a Suns loss in Portland tonight to keep them further out of the playoff race. Some pretty obvious choices here for me. Go Pistons, go Bulls and go Blazers!

So, DennardC created the thread and left? I think he’s eyeing the Blazers/Suns game.

Wow. It’s not very often in a 9 point game that you see a player at -30. Ladies and gentlemen, Tayshawn Prince.

Many people here have heard me talk about Dogos, and the protection they offer against Puma/Bobcats/Mountain Lion attacks. Many laugh, reveling in their ignorance, thinking a Bobcat attack can never happen. Well, chew on this! (TWSS, not wait, not really.)

I read an article not too long ago saying that mountain lions have moved back east of the Mississippi for the first time in 150 years or so.

Huh, go nature! I didn’t even know that was their range. Hey, are you gonna be participatin’ for the Clippers and Hornets game?

Um, that sounds like a loaded question.
I’m not sure. It just kind of depends on what the plans turn out to be.

It’s just that I’m going camping to Kern River for the weekend, and I won’t be able to do the halftime fish. So can I send them to you and you just copy and paste at halftime. I don’t want to strain an old man too much. I was gonna ask LatinD, but he must be ruining beautiful rivers with dams somewhere.

Wow, Hipuks, you’re really taking the halftime fish thing to a new level of consistency. This will be good for the mojo as the season winds down.

Yeah, I heard a Bobcat called Sean May was attacking some Pizza Hut restaurants, bars and McDonald’s outlets. It was reported that it usually went for the burger patties used in quarter pounders.

You just can’t quit the internet, can’t you? I will post a semi-book review of three basketball books in my blog after I finish the last one. For now, I can’t find the heart to blog about anything because I can’t escape Sagrario’s goddamn room.

’95 first round, the Jazz came from down 2 – 1 to win the series 3-2, and ended up winning a Championship. Ugh. My predictions were on the Spurs that year.

Yeah, it’s a riot. I guess it’s understandable, considering just about every one of their PO series in the last decade pitted them against each other.

And even before. Sweet fancy Moses, I can remember the frenzy of hatred for Stockton and Malone that suffused the entire city like it was yesterday. There was one memorable exchange of elbows between Olajuwon (I think he was still Akeem) and Stockton I should try to find on YouTube . . .
I was thinking about those, too. And when the Rockets won their titles, they went through the Jazz, IIRC.

I loved John Stockton. His numbers were better than Nash’s, but I’m sure he was never a candidate for MVP. 19 seasons with the Jazz is the leagues longest tenure.
