Well what do you know

I'm here finishing up my evening here at work, listening to the radio, minding my business. And what do you know if I hear two of our least favorite Mavericks Jerry Stackhouse and Jason Terry running their yaps off about wanting to see the Spurs in the 1st round. Not only did these jerks say that, but they out and out said that they like to take cheap shots at the Sickness. Terry joked about how you can't miss him because his nose is the first thing you hit when you are trying to defend/cheap shot him. Well, I don't know about my other Spur fans, but I hope these jokers get their wish. I want us to put the Mavs out of their misery in the 1st round, preferably by sweeping their arses(Yeah, I know the Spurs don't normally sweep series), but it would be awesome. Mark Cuban would actually cry if that happened. Who would you gals/guys like to see in the 1st round?

I live in North Dallas. I forgot to add what city and radio affiliate I was listening to. They were on 103.3 Espn.

Typical mavwrecks, like owner like players. I don’t even dwell on things like this; the line of posers and has-beens and losers with no hope taking cheap shots at our SPURS is long. They’ll have plenty of time for wise-cracks in mid May, right now they ought to be working on their offense.

Boy those Mavs sure do know how to put the cart before the horse, don’t they? A team who was run out of the Finals in ’06, and out of the first round the past 2 seasons (arguably by lesser teams) really wants to play superior competition in the first round again?? Ha.

People that talk trash are insecure, and the poor Mavs have reason to be.

What I don’t understand is what makes them say they like and are going to take cheap shots? How do you admit that? If you’re going to play dirty, then do it. Admitting to it, and worse, showing that it would be premeditated is idiotic.

Is this something the NBA (Stern) would be able to get involved with? I guess it doesn’t matter since we’d run over them anyway, it’s just somewhat disturbing.

This is a great point. Say some kind of altercation or God forbid, an injury, now happens in that hypothetical series. You can’t in any way hide from that or rationalize it or apologize it away or even sell the league on it’s inadvertent nature; you’ve already ‘made your bed’ by foreshadowing/calling any potential scenario as premeditated. Even accidentally tripping a guy will be scrutinized heavily by the league now. You effectively limit your game and possibly even take yourself out of the game entirely with your earlier stupid and immature comments.

Ladies and Gentlemen……. the dallas mavwrecks.

This is only one of many reasons why this team is famous for choking and failure, and has no rings to pride themselves in.

Well, I don’t think anyone ever really credited the Mavs with being entirely too intelligent, anyway. :)

If I were they, I certainly would want to see the Spurs in the first round, because that means I wouldn’t be seeing the Lakers.

The comments about cheap-shotting Manu are absolutely classless, though. What a bunch of morons. Pathetic.

I pray we get the Mavs

There’s not a team I enjoy beating more than the Mavs. And I’m still bitter about 06’. If the spurs come to Dallas, keep an eye out for me.

You don’t like beating PHX more than _allas? Oh wait, you don’t live here. I would also enjoy beating the Lakers or Jazz more(longer, more bitter rivalries)

Dallas Locker Room Talk

I can just see the good idea fairy visiting Terry, Stackhouse and Howard, all at the same time.

Terry: I know, I’ll make fun of the injured guy who won’t even suit up for tipoff. That way I don’t have to back up anything I say on the radio.

Stackhouse: It’ll be just like the time we made fun of our coach, and then he got fired, and now our record is even worse.

Howard: That’s nothing, I’ll promote drug abuse and mock the national anthem on TV! Radio ain’t shit!!!

Seriously, why does Cuban ever allow cameras and microphones around these people, except at game time?
