Ray Allen never makes mistakes
The following quote about the Ginobili steal is from Jeff McDonald's game recap in the SA Express News:
"Here is what Ginobili thinks he saw on the fateful inbounds play: Allen was trying to get the ball to Pierce. Ginobili moved quickly to block the pass, causing Allen to halt his throwing motion and lose his grip on the ball.
Later, Allen would dispute this version, saying he thought Ginobili had crossed the out-of-bounds line to make the steal."
The replay showed that it happened exactly as Manu says it did. This comes on the heels of Allen claiming that he got fouled against the Lakers on the last shot. I didn't see the play, but I've heard that he may have gotten fouled prior to the shot. Either way, why can't he just stop whining and admit that he didn't make the play when his team needed it? Oh, that's right, because he's RAY ALLEN!!!

My personal distaste for Ray-Ray has been overshadowed the last two seasons because he is sharing the court with Garnett, who I dislike even more. This kind of crap re-ignites it. The “foul” by Derek Fisher certainly could have been called, but it was not an obvious call one way or the other.
They showed the replay of Manu’s steal many times during the game and I have seen it on ESPN since. Ray is full of shit on that one.
I'm comfortable winning -- Emmanuel Ginobili
this infuriated me too. i hate it when a player tries to cover his poor play with a total fabrication. what, you’re not man enough to own up to your mistake, ray? MANU plays great defense on the play, getting in the path of where you wanted to throw the ball, and then you have to come up with, “his arms were across the sideline, he was standing too close to the sideline, wah, wah, wah.” you can read a little more of his whining here. at least doc rivers didn’t try to shift blame, which i can respect. allen’s an asshat.
Doc probably saw the replay and that it was clearly a Ray Allen turnover. There is no arguing this. He lost the ball, Manu never went out of bounds to get it, so he got it. The damn ref was there.
I actually think they had a legit argument in the lost of the Lakers. Today, they don’t at all. They straight up lost.
Celtics becoming the Suns?
Taking into account how physical Boston plays, it cracks me up to see both Doc Rivers and Ray Allen whine about a freaking hand check A FULL SECOND before Ray’s last second shot. Then complaining about that inbounds pass in the final minute against the Spurs just takes the cake. It is unbecoming to whine about officiating when you’re the defending NBA champion, especially because the officials let you play more physical than other teams. I think this confirms that deep down, the Celtics are still an insecure team, polar opposites of both the Spurs for the past decade, and this season’s Laker team. Kudos to your guys for pulling out that win, it should have gotten more nationwide recognition than it did.
Thanks for dropping in and sharing, TDA.
It’s always good to hear from fans from other teams whose brains haven’t been softened to mush by the national media’s spin. Also, I think your read on the C’s insecurities is dead on. All that woofin’ and chest thumping has to be covering something up. They were doing that before any of them won one, and now it’s either out of established habit, or as you said, or they’re becoming the Suns East.

“Allen needs to learn from KG not to bitch.”
Just fine-tuning the sarcasometer today, but please tell me you’re joking.
Everything else was a +1 though. Up until you asked for a +1, then you got a -5 for bad form.
