Awesome. I do think he could help the team as an energy guy, do some Leon Powe/Brandon Bass et al type stuff off the bench. I think we’re locked into the 2-3 seed range, so I’d like to see Pop give Pops and Hairston some burn at the expense of Finley/Udoka/Fab’s minutes. If they can give us a boost in the playoffs, and Manu (and Tim and Tony are healthy), we’d have a puncher’s chance against anybody.

If Manu Tim and Tony are healthy we have more than a punchers chance. The Lakers are about the same as last year when you consider the improvements of Ariza and Farmar and the loss of Turiaf. Assuming Bynum is out. We on the other hand have improved very much with Hill, Mason and Bonner replacing JV, Barry and Horry respectively. I still believe we would have won last year with a healthy Manu anyway with out all our upgrades.

Blazer fan here...

First off, I just wanted to say I have a lot of respect for your team and the way the organization has maintained a sense of class over the years. Another example was in this highlight where Pops was undercut on the ‘oop, as soon as it’s over he’s helping the guy up and checking if he is alright. Class-act.

Bonzai!

Man, I’ve been following Pops for YEARS (I feel old, even though I’m young) .. back in the days when he was ballin’ at George Washington. Dude was a beast back then and I always wanted to see him succeed in the NBA.

Hopefully he can stick around with the Spurs so that we, as casual fans, can enjoy more of his funky goodness.

Thanks for sharing the vid.
