Spurs players to coach??
Arg I hate school! It takes away from my precious PTR time- you know the stuff that actually matters in life. So that's my excuse for only being around here and there lately, not that anyone probably misses me. WaaWaaa!
Okay so as I often do I was thinking....this time I was thinking "what current Spur would make the best coach?" another question is "what current Spur will most likely be coaching after his playing days?"
Two seperate questions though they could have the same answer. In fact my answer to both questions is the same. Big Bruce. Obviously he would be a offensive mastermind probably implementing some sort of run and gun system. haha. Okay in all seriousness he has good enough communication and people skills that his players would buy into his philosophies which would be defense, rebounding and a team first attitude. KT might make a good coach when you consider his players would always be motivated out of fear he'll turn them into stone with a death stare. Manu wouldn't be patient enough. Tim too introverted. Tony probably a little too french.

Finley
What do you think about Finley? Not even a mention of him, I think behind Bowen he has the most potential to become a coach. His current playing may be too much of an influence but ….

How can you overlook The Savvy? No other SPURS player has as much experience already on the bench.

i’ve hearrd more than once that JV would be a great coach because of his intellect or his basketball knowledge.
I think Tim would be an awesome coach, but i don’t think he has any interest in that.

the Spurs do not defeat you so much as they grind you into tiny shards of psychological wreckage.

Okay, I actually asked Manu in his forum whether he saw himself in Tony’s position in the future: as in, buying an Argentinian team and creating some sort of business relationship with the Spurs to become a Latin America version of the Toros. (Tim Varner’s theory.) Failing that, I asked about this future in general, maybe coaching.
I’ll let you know what he says.
IMPORTANT NOTICE (Read this, guys): A new round of “Ask Manu” has started in his forum. This is the link for the appropriate thread. You need to sign up, and then you could ask him questions of your own, if you want. Hurry up, because it might be closed soon. You can ask in English – he’ll reply in kind, most likely. And he tends to answer all of the questions in the thread.
What’re you waiting for?

haha I don’t speak spanish very well but from what I could pick out of one question, someone asked Manu what he thinks about Chris Paul. asking if he thinks he is a dirty player. Let me know how that one gets answered.

The JV will probably coach a lottery team very soon. I can envision Bruce and Finley as coaches. The rest? Just rest. Except for Manu. He will start playing golf or some sport that doesnt require much atlhticism.

Vaughn
Hes got coach written all over him; scrappy player, smart player who stayed in the league a long time despite not being that good.

I know he isn’t current anymore, Jack Haley.
Sorry, couldn’t resist.
