Around SBN: Is Adebayor About To Become A Full-Time Spur?

Mr. Parker

After ripping Tony Parker for his lack of quality the last few games I would like to congratulate him on a very very nice game against the hapless Mavs.  He started off by getting points and he finished up by dishing the ball.  He lead this team last night.  He was THE leader, with his scoring and passing he set the tempo and the other guys responded by whipping a team that should have handled us with our injuries.  I was very impressed with his ability to start passing when he started getting more of the defensive attention.

If he would play this focused all the time he would solidify himself as a top 3 point gaurd and the Spurs would be a better team.

Please Mr. Parker keep up the good work.

I have to say

Dead on balls accuracy with your logic. When I heard Tim was out I figured one two things was going to happen. TP9 was either gonna

a.) Score 40+ doing an AI impersonation with having the unadulterated Pop given green light
                                                                       OR
b.) Get shut down due the absence of Tim and Manu with Mavs D’s full attention focused on him exposing him somewhat

And it started out looking like a.) was the correct choice. I wasn’t expecting the all dimes though so I must give him some due credit. Like you said, if can play like this on a regular basis now that we’re getting into playoff gear, and most importantly the team stays h——-y. Spurs could win it all, me thinks

My only problem with Tony is that he wasn’t finding the open man for most of the 4th quarter last night, when his shots obviously weren’t falling anymore. I think he could have had 20 dimes if he started looking for his teammates more – seriously, he was getting all their defensive attention. With that said, perfection is probably a little too much to ask when we only have the big ONE out there. Awesome game from Frenchie McWonderbutt.
