Next 10 games. The previous 11 games the Spurs went 8-3. Most of us PtRer's were crossing our fingers that they would go 6-5. As seen here. So I guess we can call that last stretch of games a success.

Denver, Boston, Detroit, and Dallas are the playoff teams. Boston, in case you're really unaware, is the defending NBA Champion. Spurs are 17-3 in their last 20 games against the Celtics. 17 straight wins following by losing the last 3, gettng swept last season. The Celtics big 3; Allen, Pierce, KG, did not play the Spurs together. KG and Allen missed one game each.

Even though the trip starts Monday the Spurs will return home for extended periods... twice. After Tuesdays game against the Nuggets they get four days off before the Sunday matinee showdown with the Cs. After a SEGABABA the All-Star break rolls around and gives them six days off. Then they hit up some more East teams.

Back to Back with Mavs/Blazers is a little easier given that its a home and home set. Something that like never happens.

According to Mysa.com, Roger Mason is gonna be in the 3 point shootout and Tony Parker in the skills challenge. They'll also defend their shooting stars thingy too. Thats good for them but they better not snub the Red Rocket.

I still don't know why Malik Hairston is on the roster. But now he has played in 1 game. So he's got that going for him.

I predict 7-3 over these next 10 games.

I say 7-2. We lose one to Boston, and another one to one of the non sucky teams. It could be three is the female dog game pops out this month.

Kudos

We also have Cleveland on the 27th, then at Portland 2 days later.

Somehow, I just want us to beat the Celtics in the regular season, just to prove a point, even if we go 5-4 or 6-3. But I guess if we do beat Boston, maybe we can really go 9-0 or 8-1. That’d be fucking awesome.

by silverandblack_davis on Feb 2, 2009 4:10 AM CST reply actions   0 recs

my initial thoughts were the same. Lets just beat Boston! I know we need to take one game at a time though and not look ahead but goddamn I hope Manu dunks in Garnetts grill. I might die if that happened.

I would suicide, because after that life would be meaningless. Everything would be going down after that.

Yeah we’re going to lose the Boston game no doubt. Tim plays terrible when our games are at noon.

I said we were going to go 11-0, and I was closer than most. For this 10 game stretch? 10-0, bay-bee.

Can we still get 70 wins this season? I say we go for it.

I say we go 7-3, losing to denver, boston and dallas. The pistons are a joke

exactly what I was thinking. Dallas always brings their A game against us.

by Tim C. on Feb 2, 2009 2:57 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Basically you have us losing versus all three good teams in this stretch. Your faith knows no limits, Chilai.

But having watched the Pistons vs. the Celtics the other day, I have to agree with you. Sheed and Uglyass Cubitswannabe played as bad as I’ve ever seen them play. And each layup AI makes takes a little more life out of the team.

And Hamilton is no Manu ginobili coming off the bench.
Btw, I’ve seen Wallace two consecutive games and damn… he doesnt give shit about basketball anymore. He makes Bonner look like Dwight with his forays to the paint.

I meant Prince, actually. His cubits are like Hill’s, only uglier.

8-2 is my call. i called 8-3 for our last stretch of 11, and they pulled through. so i will again call for 8 wins in this stretch of 10, and our boys will have my back, and maybe even surprise me further.

by znimrod on Feb 2, 2009 2:03 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

I’m going with 8-2 also, but with losses to Boston (noon start on the East Coast? Not good) and the Knicks (first game back from the All Star break, looking ahead to Detroit).

8-2, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see us beat Boston. You heard it here first.

We’ll have to play a hell of a lot better than we did last night against the Warriors.
