WTF?!

So I watched the highlights of the Knicks game last night and I'm wondering to my self, "Self, why are the Spurs losing to teams such as the Raptors and Knicks?"  My hope is that Pop is being some crazy genius and we are getting all of our bad losses out of the way around the All-Star break.  Perhaps it's that Manu isn't totally healthy.  Maybe it's that the team doesn't like all the positive attention they've gotten of late and want to shun such praise.

I am also wondering is the Spurs tendency to play down/up to competetion going hurt them or help them in the long run?  I'm thinking, it's going to make for some poor regular season proformances, such as yesterday, but if we can play up at the right times and against the right teams we'll be fine.

The main problem is that if we continue to shoot ourselves in the foot with teams we should beat we're going to be a much tougher playoff situation, such as a 4 or 5 seed.  I don't mind losing games in the regular season, I don't much care for losing to teams we should dominate.

I despise losing to crap teams like the Knicks and Raptors, but the Spurs will flip that switch come playoff time.

Can they?

I’m wondering if they can just “flip” it into gear come playoff time.
