Durant, Mayo, and Joe Johnson to Play Horse

As my friend so elequently put it......"WTF? No Manu? Gino'd win that easy".  Yet another NBA snub. Manu in a game of horse would not only be entertaining, but right up Ginobili's alley. I can see it now, kind of like that old McD's commercial with Bird -vs- Jordan. Gino would call a huge bounce off the score board, off Sterns head, off the press table bankshot for the win. Hmmm, I could go for a Big Mac right about now......

I’m not too high on this horse shindig. I think players have to warm up to it first before they want an invite. They picked three guys already heading to All-Star weekend.

you guys DO realize that they’ll be playing GEICO and not HORSE, right?

Lots of people are so excited about H-O-R-S...

er… G-E-I-C-O, but I saw an old clip of Gervin and Pistol Pete playing and it was soooo boring. I thought that Ice and Pete would put on a great show, but they kept doing the same not-so-creative shots over and over again.

This clip is what turned me off to the idea as well. B-O-R-I-N-G

doesn’t mean that it couldn’t be tweaked — just put in a rule or two that the same shot can’t be attempted after it’s already been used to put a letter on your opponent

Or, put in a rule that if your shot can be successfully executed by a 9 yr. old girl, then you’re immediately disqualified.

i don’t plan on watching anything basketball related this weekend, unless i know the exact time Tim, Becky Hammon, and I think maybe Robinson try and defend the crown of the shooting stars contest

Becky is a nice lookin lady, and has some damn good handles

A few tweaks would make an interesting event

bald spots

You picked the two guys with the biggest bald spots in the NBA, but aside from that, would be worth watching. The thing is would the players want to come just to play HORSE?

by spurscitizen on Feb 11, 2009 3:54 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Good point, SC. Most players want to rest and hang with the fam if they’re not required to be at the All Star game.
