Around SBN: The Worst Team Ever Projected?

Tues.12.08.09 Loser Thread

Blah, we have 8 games tonight, and thankully none of them involve the Spurs. That means we can't lose. But we can hope for the Mavericks or Suns to (even though they play eachother).  The Celtics host the Bucks, the Bulls host the Nets, the Mavs host the Suns, the Nooch host the Kings, the Raptors host the T-Wolves, the Bobcats host the Thuggets, the Grizzlies host the Cavs and the Clips host the Magic. I'm too irritated to find old logos tonight. Vote for your top choice of loser tonight! Great analysis on last night's game by all throughout the day today, btw!

Update: Charlotte beats Denver, 107-95. Charlotte and Denver removed from poll.

(Zero votes at this moment, anyway.)

Toronto beats Minnesota, 94-88. Both teams removed from poll. (Zero votes each.)

Boston beats Milwaukee 98-89. (Bye bye Bucks.)

The Nooch beat the Kings 96-94. (See ya Nooch and Kings.)

The Nets get win #2 in Chicago, 103-101! (Bye bye Nets, Bulls and VDN?)

Memphis beats Cleveland 111-109 in OT. (Bye Grizz and Crab King.)

The Mavs beat the Suns 102-101. (Bye Suns.)

Orlando beats the Clips 97-86. (Bye.)

The Bulls and Nets are really going back and forth. Nets up by 2, 6:51 4th. Win #2 on the way??

Nooch and Kings tied at 80.

by Ed (dfjmed) on Dec 8, 2009 9:10 PM CST reply actions

Yep, Lebron back in. My gosh, do we want Cleveland to win? The Griz are in our division.

by Ed (dfjmed) on Dec 8, 2009 9:11 PM CST reply actions

nah, i want memphis to win.

99-94 Nets…1:47 4th.

by Ed (dfjmed) on Dec 8, 2009 9:20 PM CST reply actions

i’m conflicted about this game…i don’t have any hate for the nets, or any of their players, but …i want to see a new season losing record.

I hear ya there. The losing record is quite intriguing. I guess if the Nets werent playing the Bulls I’d pull for them. They still have a 1 point lead with 27 secs left.

by Ed (dfjmed) on Dec 8, 2009 9:26 PM CST up reply actions

and now down 1 with 20 seconds left. think they might not get win number two.

No excuses for Chicago in this one.

by Ed (dfjmed) on Dec 8, 2009 9:28 PM CST up reply actions

Devin Harris! Wow. Rumor has it that Vinny Del Negro’s job is on the line. A loss tonight reeeeaally wouldn’t help that.

by Ed (dfjmed) on Dec 8, 2009 9:30 PM CST up reply actions

wow…was that the play VDN drew up? a contested 3 at the top of the key?

His first choice was a Bonner dribble-drive, but Fred Silva overruled him.

Do people hate the Mavs more than the Suns? Or do they consider the Mavs a bigger threat?

I can’t speak for everyone, but for the sheer fact that the Spurs share the Southwest with the Mavs, personally I’d prefer for them to lose every game they can. It benefits the Spurs more.

by Ed (dfjmed) on Dec 8, 2009 9:24 PM CST up reply actions

same here. its a divisional thing.

to be honest, about the only team i think i really hate is boston.

by sleep research facility on Dec 8, 2009 9:30 PM CST up reply actions

I just realized I am filled with hate for any team that is a threat to mine. But I don’t hate any team more than Boston.

I see the Mavs as more of a threat than the Suns so I want them to lose tonight.

Alas, Spurs and Laker fans can agree on one thing – Dallas losing. :)

by Ed (dfjmed) on Dec 8, 2009 9:43 PM CST up reply actions

Just don’t ask me to pick when the Spurs & Mavs are playing.

The Lakers "Too big, too strong, too long, too good."

by olf on Dec 8, 2009 9:46 PM CST up reply actions

I’d expect you to pick the Mavs…this year.

by Ed (dfjmed) on Dec 8, 2009 9:47 PM CST up reply actions

Because??

I really couldn’t pick too easy.

The Lakers "Too big, too strong, too long, too good."

Because at this moment in time, they’re better.

dallas – 14-7

by sleep research facility on Dec 8, 2009 9:58 PM CST up reply actions

I’m pretty sure that if we get our shit together, at the very least, we canwin the division. Its up in the air from there.

by Ed (dfjmed) on Dec 8, 2009 10:00 PM CST up reply actions

oh definitely, i still think we’re the second best team in the west if we gel, and could beat the lakers.

the question is if we’re ever going to gel though…
