Celtics @ Spurs: The Game Thread, Part Deux

The Spurs first half and Hipuks choice of Blair photos
Let's hope the first was our crappy quarter of the night and we start hitting our FTs and we start hitting our threes and we stop turning the ball over...

Samurai Gourami Sphaerichthys vaillanti
The Sphaerichthys vaillanti hail from the Kalimantan River in Borneo. The water there is very soft and acidic with a pH as low as 4-5. They live in parts of the river system where water is very slow-moving. Visibility is slightly poor owing to the fact the water is amber in color from the rotting leaves surrounding their habitat.
Sphaerichthys vaillanti is one of those fish that is categorized under Anabantidae. Though several species of gouramis are already popular around the trade given the fact they have the ability to survive oxygen-depleted environments and even deteriorating water conditions, most species have yet to be discovered while several others are now extinct or under threat due to increasing human activities which leads to the destruction of their native habitats.
Sphaerichthys vaillanti may also be picky when it comes to foods so you will be lucky if your own fish manages to consume commercial foods without too much hesitation otherwise be prepared to keep a constant supply of live foods and frozen foods. They will forever relish mosquito larva, daphnia, brine shrimps and bloodworms. Freeze-dried foods may not be taken easily as they will with live foods and frozen foods.
Water must be filtered with peat, oak leaves or Indian almond leaves to maintain the acidity required. They may be acclimated in pH higher than that of their native habitats however best results are always found in conditions replicating their native habitats. Fungal infections are far more common in cases where they are kept in water conditions far from the conditions their native habitat has provided them. Dim lighting is also a must as these are very timid fish. Likewise, providing more plants always helps as this allows the fish to feel secured enough in their surroundings that you will see them showing their best. Temperature must be maintained at 26-28 degrees Celsius.
They are very peaceful fish that will dwell in the middle to lower regions of the tank. It is often observed that a pair may established a large territory although no serious damage nor dominance behavior will occur as it does to their more popular cousins. Boisterous fish species must be avoided as they will not do well in company of those.

Great comment? Moving right along…
Agreed, RJ or Manu or Romaju. Someone better start making an impact. I’m not watching another game until the new year. Just shook on it.
By the by, my girlfriend (who is not a supporter of any NBA team but is a fan) has watched several games with me this year and said the Spurs are always seem to be down by 4 points. She might have a point here. Are we playing defensively and not imposing our will on the other team? I think this is the case. I hope that changes in the near future. I’m sick and tired of losing to quality opponents.
I have to call this game as the coach’s fault. Mcdyess obviously had early trouble with the celts down low, but I think some of that was bad calls…not to mention McDyess still hasn’t found his groove in the Spurs lineup. But it really seems like our guard situation is confusing at the moment. Parker is a world-class talent, but when he performs poorly (like he has lately) and Hill comes in, it seems as if Pop isnt sure whether to put Parker back in or not. Both players are playing at the same level, which is unfortunate for Parker. The SG spot is the worst though, as Bogans looks like a sitting duck on offense, and with Mcdyess also not knowing what to do on offense, our starting 5 gets beat early for obvious reasons. Additionally, Mason and Finley aren’t shooting well, and both look like its physically impossible for them to do anything besides shoot a 3. In this game, the celts guarded the 3 as their top priority, which left Blair and others open to lots of offensive rebounds, but that still doesn’t play well for us. I think Bogans should play much less minutes…Mason should start to allow him to get his game going early, and Finley should be used sparingly for 3-point specialty. I’m also very confused where Ginobili was in the final minutes, as he was the only one to make a 3 the entire game for us. As tough as it is, I really have to blame this one on coaching. Pop needs to find out what works for his new team before the rodeo trip. No need to be worried until after then.
So, I come back and read the boxscore. 3 of our starters were completely useless. Wow, that’s gonna help us win. I’m sooooo drinking during the next game. Damnit, the Nuggets are better than us right now and that ticks me off.
