What’s been the most suprising aspect of the team this year? Pleasant or not so much.
Neither he nor Gob were prepared for the challenges of using cats to catch a seal.
He’ll say “the number of losses”

maybe you should ask aside from the losses.

As a coach, not counting winning or losing games, what has been the toughest obstacle or difficulty you’ve had with the team so far, and why do you think that is?

I also liked this one. It’s a variant of CedarPark’s question above.

Yeah, I like this question, too. Good one, LZ.

This is a decent enough question, but Pop always answers the future expectation questions with things like “I have no expectations.” Or, “I don’t know what will happen in May.”

I’d like to ask something about the rotation in connection when FinDog and Bonner come back, but I don’t know how to phrase it in a thought-provoking way, so there. I got nothing.

The Spurs have always been a team that thinks about the big picture and seem to have always been more concerned about the playoffs than the regular season. So when playing against possible playoff opponents, where do you draw the line between finding right or wrong line-ups for the playoffs against a particular team and winning the regular season encounter? Is there even a line or do you focus on only one of those two.

Which factors come into play when deciding to play a small line up? How do the current score, oppenents players on the floor and part of the game influence this decision?
Might be long winded, but it would nice to understand the logic behind his decision to go there. If he gets on GOML mode you can follow up with something like,
what kind of advantage the Spurs obtain when they ditcate a small line up on offense and defense?
I think both of these are interesting but with what I have watched from Pop they are likely to get shut down.

Graydon said he asked Pop this question in Chicago earlier this year. He also asked Tim. You can find their responses in this article on 48MoH.

Is Yawn dead?
"We suck on 'D. Both individually and team-wise, we suck. We're pretty consistent that way. I don't know if I have an answer to that. If I did, we wouldn't suck quite so bad." - Popovich

There is a perception that the Spurs are relying heavily on the 3pt shot. What target do you have in term of number of three points attempted coming into a game? How does target as the game progresses?

Ok. You guys have some really good questions here. I’m going with the CedarPark question. I’ll get back to you with his response in the game thread.

Well, it wasn’t to be. I’ll have to save it for next time. Time was short.
