Spotted Bulldog Pleco, Spotted Rubbernose Pleco. Chaetostoma milesi

Distribution Mountain streams of Colombia.
Magdalena and Apuré River basins: Colombia and Venezuela.

pH 6.8 – 7.8
 Temperature 20.0-23.0°C or 68-73.4°F
Other Parameters Has more stringent demands on water quality than many plecos and requires highly oxygenated water. Medium hard water is also beneficial.

Omnivore. Will eat algae and small live or frozen food. Some individuals can be weaned onto pellet food although this usually takes some effort and trial and error on the part of the aquarist.

A peaceful fish which can sometimes be a little territorial with its own species.
Suggested Tankmates Certain fast water fish would fit in with the requirements of this fish. Many of the other fast water Loricariids can be kept with this fish. Often found in the wild with smaller pike cichlid species and fast water silvery characins

It just reminded me of Gist, that’s all.

Heh, he probably has as good a chance as anyone to be RJ’s backup next season, so there’s that.

The Spurs - now playing like sh*t again!

by Tim C. on Dec 22, 2009 2:19 AM CST up reply actions

I’d say Hairston has a better chance of becoming RJ’s back-up. There’s no way Pop loathes humanity enough to revive the zombie for another season right? Maybe veterans minimum? Well, Hairston has a much better shot I’d say. Unless we are able to use RJ’s expiring 14 million to teams and take advantage of a team that used all their 2010 chips and need cap-space for some reason, then Hairston could be our starting SF, and Haislip the back-up. Also, I think Haislip’s more of a four, or at least that’s how I think Pop would play him. Pop likes small ball, not…

When the tooth fairy's own tooth falls out, it is taken during the night by Princess Peanut.

by the little o on Dec 22, 2009 3:34 AM CST up reply actions

I was speaking more of Gist. Hairston’s more of a 2 than anything else. Despite his slow start, I like RJ… I just think we need to have someone else with the size and athleticism to play the 3. The Spurs might or might not bring back Haislip, but the veterans minimum seems like a bargain for a 4 with range if he’s any good at all.

The Spurs - now playing like sh*t again!

by Tim C. on Dec 22, 2009 12:03 PM CST up reply actions

While I think Gist has the size and athleticism to play the 3, I don’t think he has the skills. He has played solely as a big (4) whenever he’s gotten time with the Spurs (summer league, maybe pre-seaon too).
