Y! Rumors> Trade offers on table for Los Angeles Clippers' Marcus Camby
* Some teams apparently would love to have Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Camby(notes) on their squads and supposedly have made trade proposals for the big fella, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy isn't confirming or denying such claims at this point. Camby is in the last year of his contract and making $9.1 million this season. Camby certainly has some desirable features: He's up in the top five of blocked shots per game and in the top six for rebounds per game as well.
"Marcus has been great," Dunleavy said. "We have a lot of guys that have a lot of interest from a lot of people."

Let the tirade of horrendous trade suggestions begin!

I want. Give them Finley, Bonner and a bag of chips.

Did you know that Bonner is averaging more PPG in fewer minutes this year than Camby, along with a higher FG and 3-pt %? That surprised me. Obviously Camby is ahead in blocked shots and rebounds.
I have flying monkeys at my disposal, and I'm not afraid to use them.
Well, Camby can’t shoot a three to rescue his family from a burning hut (or something), so that’s not surprise. But Camby would give us a solid, solid frontcourt. Imagine Camby subbing in for Dyess, or better yet, starting alongside Duncan… *drool

Why not?

Because Haislip doesn’t exist, Ian is brittle as glass, Nando is a big maybe, and Mason is half the player Camby is.

Yeah, the Clips wouldn’t take it. I thought you didn’t like it.

Sure hes old and overrated. BUT hes the only big man who is even remotely a possibility for the spurs ( or really ANYONE in the league, I dont see any teams entertaining offers for big men). Plus he has an expiring contract…..
The only two downsides are considerable….
#1. Losing Bonner ( Go ahead and laugh but hes playing the best ball of his career ) and or Mason, who is making a big comeback from his play earlier in the season) Maybe losing George Hill.
#2.We would probably get Camby sometime in February , giving him around 33 games to become familiar with the most complicated play calling team in the League.
Getting Camby fills a hole but shortens the Bench in the process….
...Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is forty five.
