Game Thread #21: San Antonio Spurs @ LA Clippers
San Antonio Spurs at Los Angeles Clippers, Dec 13, 2009 8:30 PM CST
If the playoffs started today, we would miss out on the number 8 spot to Portland. So it's time to get down to business.
However, should you need a break from the intensity of our laser-like focus on destroying our every remaining opponent, step outside tonight (if you're in the right hemisphere for it to be "night") and check out the Geminids. They should be worth watching.
via news.nationalgeographic.com
Probable starting lineups (according to the media notes and Clips Nation) after the jump.
Starting Lineups
Clippers
Al Thornton
Marcus Camby
Chris Kaman
Eric Gordon
Sebastian Telfair (Baron Davis out with stomach virus)(never mind, he appears to be playing)
Spurs
Richard Jefferson
Tim Duncan
Antonio McDyess
Keith Bogans
Tony Parker
Referees
Dick Bavetta (great, him again)
Mark Ayotte
Tony Brothers
Final Note
Please don't post any illegal feed links here. Spurs Radio is here if you want to listen to the game. If that's not working, or if you're looking for a video feed in your area, email LatinD (or, as we call him, "The Man") at dmenendez@gmail.com.

I hate NBA TV. Why the FUCK can’t we watch NBA TV games on LPBB?
The Spurs - now playing like sh*t again!
That is a big reason I didn’t get LPBB again this year. It just pissed me off too much.
The Lakers "Too big, too strong, too long, too good."
question – in the US, if you wanted to be able to watch every single game of the season, is it possible? would you have to have multiple cable packages?

I have satellite (Dish), along with the package that includes NBA TV, and along with the additionally purchased League pass. I think I can see every single game. I haven’t NOT been able to find one yet.
I have flying monkeys at my disposal, and I'm not afraid to use them.
But it’s complicated. For instance, tonight the game is blacked out on NBA TV for me because Fox Sports Southwest has it — so I have to watch it on an HD-Alt channel.
I have flying monkeys at my disposal, and I'm not afraid to use them.
but its possible – it does involve buying multiple things…so in some ways as an international i have it easier – buy ILPBB, and thats it. of course, i’d prefer to watch it in HD on tv, and would pay handsomely for it (YOU HEAR THAT STERN?).

The giant management consultancy firm Accenture has ended its sponsorship of Tiger Woods, saying the golfer is “no longer the right representative”.
At this news, Axe said they would be happy to make him the focus of their campaign.
"Under the tutelage....of Randy Tutelage"
I think Accenture is the consulting remnants of the Anderson Accounting firm which blew up in the Enron scandal. Seems like Tiger would fit them well.
The Lakers "Too big, too strong, too long, too good."
I was gonna make a financial joke, but didn’t know enough about Accenture, all those times I’ve watched CNBC have been for naught.
"Under the tutelage....of Randy Tutelage"
There’s this billboard I pass by every day on my way to work that shows Tiger Woods looking forlornly into a creek (where he presumably has lost his ball). It has a big Accenture logo and it says something like “it’s what you do next that counts.” It had made me laugh every day since Thanksgiving. I think “jump in, Tiger! Escape!”
Watch out everyone! Like a comet that only blazes across the sky a few times a lifetime, I am here to share my hilarious thoughts and insightful commentary.

In other news, it’s been one helluva weekend, romance-wise. (Since Davis is sharing, I’ll join in.) I haven’t gone out much, what with my busted back and all, but this weekend two girls who had been lost to the mists of had-boyfriends-nothing-in-common-who-were-you-again just reached me and let me set dates with them. (With one of them, a promise for something down the road with another.)
So it was a good week. Your turn.

No. That would have been preferable, I think. Somehow one of my molars cracked or something, and then that somehow led to a cyst forming in the bone of my jaw above it, blah blah blah. Molar pulled, cyst removed, implant will be placed in the coming months.

On the bright side, if that had happened 100 years ago, you probably would have died of an infection.
