Excerpts From The Book The NBA Doesn't Want You To Read
Not sure if someone posted this before. If someone did, please hit me in the head, on second thought, don't (at least not now, I'll probably puke). Well, a friend linked it to me, and I found it interesting to say the least.

He was pointing out everything that Phoenix was able to get away with and never once told us to look for anything in regard to San Antonio. Nunez should have a championship ring on his finger.
Sigh. Two Spurs-related stories in just the excerpts.
Oh and the Iverson story was just bad. He can confirm that though.

Seriously. It’s bad enough that Joey C. has a personal grudge against the Spurs, but now to find out Bavetta was Donaghy’s partner in crime to some extent… it makes you start to wonder who was reffing(besides Joey) in some of the more controversial situations the Spurs have been involved in. And the admission to the WCF game 6 debacle in 2002 is not surprising, but still sobering.

It’s interesting that in the controversial games 3 & 4 of the 2006 playoff series against the Mavs (one decided by a single point and the second decided in overtime), Crawford was the lead official in game 3 (when the Mavs shot 50 free throws inc. 24 by Nowitzki) and Bavetta was the lead in game 4. Bavetta was also the head official for game 7.
Why did I think that would be the case? ::sigh::
At least people will be watching the officials a lot closer this year, so maybe everybody will get a fair shot. Then again, Stern is still in charge.
