Manu Comic Strip, JanieAnnie style
My version of the daily comics, as photographed last night at the Philly game. I could wait for Wayne's recap, but he probably wouldn't put these together the same way, so enjoy!
He played better than I expected, with limited minutes. He had several hard drives to the basket (and fouls should have been called on a couple), charged in to block a shot, went after rebounds, pulled off one of those cool passes to DeJuan, had a steal, and was very involved with his team mates while in the game. He, of course, was not totally satisfied with his performance, but that's what makes him Manu.

Manu needs patience...
Getting healthy and s-t-a-y-i-n-g that way is going to be the big challenge for Manu. He knows that better than anybody, the problem is when he gets in a game that goal falls by the wayside and he wants to play the same slash and crash style that only he can do, forgetting the risk he is placing on his not so young body. So all we cn do as fans is pray for him and hope he doesn’t reinjure the ankle or leg. Manu is a very special talent, but despite the now famous flying rodent swat he isn’t wearing the Batman armor on the court so he can’t continue to jump off tall buildings or swing through the air with the greatest of ease. He needs to play smarter, and let the new young players like Blair and Hill try to emulate him.
