PtR Night With the Austin Toros Benefiting CPI

I am very, very proud to announce the first PtR night with the Austin Toros.

This Saturday, November 28th, is "Spurs Affiliation" night for the Toros.  As a PtR reader, you can get $23 tickets for $12Click this link to go to the Toros site to get tickets.  It's a special page for PtR people.

[NOTE:  Tickets need to be purchased no later than Friday afternoon.]

But wait, there's more...

Star-divide

This is a great deal on tickets (see seating chart).  Just in case I haven't told you, we will be covering the Toros here on PtR this season.  This will be a great way to kick off the Austin Toros season on PtR.

On top of that, $4 of each ticket purchased goes to a non-profit called CPI.  Lauri is a board member of CPI and I believe it is a great cause. They help provide people being released from prison with services and resources to help them live crime-free, self-sufficient lives.

Spurs Affiliation Night

What does this mean?  It means the Coyote and Da Bull will be in the house.  It means the Silver Dancers will be in the house.  We also might see appearances from others in the Spurs family.  I'm hoping for RC.

Meet the PtR Family

To top it all off, you get to meet WVATS, Mrs ATS, and Lauri!!!  Yes, we'll be there.  I'll add names here during the week as we go as people tell me they are coming.

For those interested in getting together before the game, drop me an email and I will figure out how many people are coming and choose an appropriate place.

Make It Big And Make A Night Of It

Bring the family.  Tell your friends.  It will be fun.  Tweet about it.  Put it on Facebook.

You Can Help More Too

If the holiday and giving spirit is working overtime in you, CPI could always use some of the following for their clients.  Feel free to bring anything on the list.

  • Capital Metro bus passes
  • Men and women’s new or gently used casual and professional clothing
  • Hygiene products such as; toothbrush, soap and deodorant
  • Bath towels
  • Long distance calling cards
  • Duffel bags or backpacks
  • Alarm clocks

Future PtR Toros Nights

We will have 4 total during the season.  The next one will be Thursday, January 28th when LatinD will be attending.

My goal, eventually, is to have free PtR t-shirts. We need to have a couple successful night’s first before I can get somebody to sponsor the shirts though. In time, in time. I like the steak knives idea though.

It would be cool to have shirts with the PTR logo. I would pay for that. Well, not much, but I would pay.

i gotta vote against the steak knives thing though……..just in case some of you are as crazy in real life as you are in here.

I fail to see how you could construe any of us as crazy. It just boggles my mind.

I’ll be driving back from the Houston game that day! My Houston connection came through with a seat in the City of Houston’s suite for the game. I’ll downplay the Spurs bling for that game.
