Friday Night Loser Thread

NIne games tonight.  Utah has already dispatched the Sixers and the Magic putting the finishing touches on the Nets.  The Lakers vs Nuggets headlines the late games.  The Hornets are playing their first game without Byron Scott, and they are playing terrible.  Fortunately for them, so are the Blazers.

Mini Preview - Lakers @ Nuggets

If you like blood (or like to see the Lakers lose) the Lakers/Nuggs game night be worth watching (if you can overcome the gag-factor).

Besides the obvious hate from the playoff meetings two years in a row, the Lakers & Nuggs played a couple of preseason games. In the last one there were 6 technical fouls and I think 2 flagrant fouls. Plus Birdman and Odom almost came to blows. So this game could get nasty.

Plus, like the Spurs, the Lakers have been playing with a patchwork lineup. So if the Nuggs want to beat the Lakers, now would be the time for them to do it.

And yes I am a 2009 World Champion Fan.

Osteitis pubis is a medical condition which is prevalent among footballers, runners and other athletes, particularly players of Australian rules football. In Australia the condition is increasingly being referred to as simply “OP”, especially in media covering the Australian Football League.

Im not sure the rule goes exacty how I explained, but I know I heard there is some sort of rule wherein a game can end due to a lopsided score

In international baseball competitions sanctioned by the IBAF, including Olympic competition and the World Baseball Classic (WBC), games are currently ended when one team is ahead by 10 runs, once at least seven completed innings are played by the trailing team. In women’s competition, the same applies after five innings.1
In NCAA and NAIA college baseball, the game will end if a team is ahead by at least 10 runs after seven innings in a scheduled 9-inning game. Most NCAA conferences only apply the rule on the final day of a series for travel reasons or during conference tournaments in order to allow the next game to start.
In WFDF (World Flying Disc Federation) League Ultimate, the mercy rule is 17 points with a 2 point lead. If the score difference is less than 2 points then a cap to 19 points is applied.
