Well, I think Parker is still the best scorer we have (and ‘09 assists leader—even per 36 mins—you haterzz!), especially considering Tim’s age. Jefferson will have to adjust to him, if not to both him and Tim.
But I think more importantly, oppenents are the ones who will have to adjust.

Hmm. This is a good time to state my concern of an aspect of Greg Popovichs coaching.
I think hes had the same 3 dominant players for so long, that hes gotten accustomed to buliding around them. Now hes got a potent 4th option that hes gonna have to learn to work in.
Im a big fan of Parker, and if the following sounds like a knock, then it has been misconstrued. I think the fact that hes a scoring point guard is going to make it tough to work RJ in.
I just want for this squad to work, and if that means RJ becomes the leading scorer, so be it.
...Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is forty five.
If RJ becomes the leading scorer, I wouldn’t mind. What I was thinking is that Parker would still be our first scoring option. Just because RJ and Manu can spot up makes them potent for Parker’s drive and dish.
Yes, I mean (a lot) less of Tim this year. The good ol days when all our offense was inside-out? Not gonna happen anymore. Duncan’s still a post threat (duh), but most of our offense will run through Parker. For better or worse. I just hope it’s for the better.

I want RJ to be the leading scorer this year(in the regular season, anyway). Scoring is what RJ does best, it’s who he is. And the more you make your opponents fear RJ, the more freedom the other members of the big 4* are going to have to do what they do. I have no questions about the chemistry of the other guys, so if RJ leads the team in scoring, that means the other guys know how to get him the ball in the right situations. Parker is probably still the best scorer on the team, but I’d like to see the Spurs limit his mileage during the regular season, especially after he played all summer and has had two ankle sprains in the last 3 months.
And, how good is our backcourt? We now have 3 legitimate, established slashers on offense, but they all go about it their own way. The main difference between Tony, Manu, and RJ is is how they attack the rim: Tony uses his speed, Manu uses deception, and RJ uses his strength and athleticism. Because of how different they are, it’s going to be nearly impossible for our opponents to adequately defend all(or in some cases, any) of them. All 3 have a high basketball IQ, and are at least good passers(with Manu being an excellent passer). And when your backcourt creates this kind of havoc, things are really going to open up for Timmy, Dice, Blair, or whoever is working in the post. Once they get more comfortable with each other, this team is really going to start kicking some ass.

The Spurs - now playing defense again! ...sometimes
And one legitimate, quickly-getting-established slasher.
