Byron Scott Fired
That was quick.
"It is not confirmed who will assume head coaching duties but sources indicate that former Hornets forward P.J. Brown may join the coaching staff in some capacity."

Man…this is the thanks you get for turning around the Nets and Hornets franchises? Geez… What’s really the problem with Scott? Does he rub players and ownership the wrong way? Not baby CP3 enough?
The Hornets roster is actually pretty stacked (CP3, Posey, MoPete, Stojakovich, Collison, West, Songaila) and I like the Okafor addition – a multi-dimensional scorer and defender, something I thought they missed with Chandler.
So where do we think Scott lands? ESPN right next to Avery?
That’s why coaches get hired, to get fired. I forgot who actually said that.

The NBA Coach of the Year Award strikes again! Only one coach in the last decade has not been fired within a couple of years of receiving this award. Any guesses? Mike Brown needs to be looking over his shoulder.

this is probably why Jerry Sloan doesn’t complain about not winning it. I mean 20 years of coaching the same team, it’s gotta be that right.

…at Shaq.
Just ask Terry Porter and Stan Van Gundy how “lucky” they were to have O’Neal on their teams.

can't say I didn't see this coming
he was not doing anything to get this team to play even halfway decent thus far and was showing no signs of improving.
Better now then later on in the season when they’d be struggling to make .500 and be near the bottom of the standings. Though that’d be pretty sweet for us.

Chris Paul can be playing coach. He calls the plays anyway. And as this shows, he apparently calls the shots too. He can also decide who to draft, and who to trade for. He is the complete package.

Apparently he does not call anything over there.
