Oh I see he gave you the idea

I was like, I never saw anything like this over there. (And I read all the stuff over there already.)

It was on Amick’s twitter—of course, the folks who made it were the Spurs press wranglers.

I guess I should have done this instead of putting it in a comment.

If it’s the comment I saw, the image isn’t showing for some reason.

(But yeah, since this we can front page.) :)

I wonder if PETA saw that.
Well, we’ll know if Manu is in court :)

I can’t believe I missed this whole episode. Dammit!

So, Manu killed a vampire, maybe? Is he Manu “Van Helsing” Ginobili now? Awesome.

Hilariously maladjusted. But for all the right reasons.

We’re going with The Batman for the time being, but I like Van Helsing too.

I plan to try it out sometime.

Via Amick's notes today
Truly batty – Manu Ginobili was a local legend before, but he added to his charming tale with a fearless first-quarter swat of a bat that was flying around the AT&T Center.

Ginobili didn’t stop there, picking up the stunned bat with his bare hands and handing it to an arena employee. According to Spurs officials, the bat didn’t survive. As for Ginobili’s one-of-a-kind reputation? Alive and well.

Hahahaha I knew Manu was a superhero, but I didn’t think he was Batman himself !

Im partial to " Van Helsing" but im leaning more towards " Blade"

Thats whats great about Manu. He will end his career with the most nicknames of all time.

Van Helsing was a terrible movie though.

It was a cheesy plot, but I was actually entertained by it. Good special effects too. Kate Beckinsale is easy on the eyes, also.

So so special effects. The Werewolves were ridiculous.

It was absolute offal—howlingly bad. Fortunately, the cast and crew were in on the joke (i.e., perfectly aware that it was trash), so it was kind of funny. And it was a super-low budget production, too (a fact which is mentioned often in the blooper reel.)

by Lauri on Nov 1, 2009 7:29 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Um, I didn’t see the movie.

But he’s a character in the novel (you know, Dracula), which makes him classic.

And Hellsing, at least what I’ve seen of it, is kinda cool in an super-violent, buckets-of-blood way.

Hilariously maladjusted. But for all the right reasons.

Manga, original series, or Ultimate?

Hilariously maladjusted. But for all the right reasons.

by Queness on Nov 2, 2009 10:07 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

First two. Dunno what Ultimate is, but anything with “Ultimate” in its title probably sucks.

Ah, so you’d think. I haven’t seen any of the Hellsing Ultimate OVAs yet, but they are recently done—basically, Hellsing remade to be closer to the manga. I get the impression that Ultimate is generally thought of as better one—but if you didn’t really get into the manga, you might not like it that much, or care one way or the other.

The manga is full of nazi. It’s a bit silly… you’ll see. :)

Yeah? Fantastic. I’m thinking about just watching the OVAs one of these days; it wasn’t long before the manga lost my attention. Guess I wasn’t in the mood.
