Hopefully nobody! I will be a sad panda if Pop lets Hairston go.

Yeah, definitely Williams.

It is going to be Hairston who makes the team. He can play D and has shown he can hit the jumper when open.

Yup, it’s gotta be Williams. What if Pop keeps 14, who goes next? Bogans or Hairston?

If they go with 14, it has to be Hairston. The only reason to go with 14 is to save money. Cutting Bogans wouldn’t save money because he has a guaranteed contract.

Williams could be the last. Hairston earned his spot with his all-around plays, flexibility & good D

The decision is made just on his play. There is the whole money thing. With the team over the cap, he costs double. It’s one thing to earn your spot. He kind of has to earn his spot at twice what he gets paid. It’s a tough position. To the Spurs, is it worth having him at the end of the bench or in Austin for $1.5 million?

If Haislip is worth it, Hairston is worth it.

Haislip is guaranteed. It doesn’t matter if he is worth it.

I know that, but I’m just sayin’. The Spurs can’t get a player of Hairston’s caliber for that price anywhere else. I actually like Bogans, and think that he stays, despite what the various commenters are saying over at 48. But Holt needs to know that Hairston could be a valuable part of this team, especially if one of RJ, Manu, or Findog get hurt at any point. ::sacrifices dogo to keep that from happening::

You and your facts. Don’t you read your own sig? It’s unfortunate that Haislip is guaranteed. Not because I don’t think he’s an NBA player, but because Har-i-ston has shown the characteristics that we need – tough, efficient wing player who can play with whoever is on the floor.

I get your point. The bean counters would surely go for that. But if we’re really going to apply the “all in” philosophy to maximize the Duncan treads then it behooves the FO to keep Hairston.
I think we have learned our lesson from last year.

Can they waive Duncan?

Also, the same for Tim Duncan.

Waive Williams and Hairston. The stage is then set for JV’s comeback as out third-string PG to take over when Hill underperforms.

Have you guys heard that Udoka was waived? Too bad. I thought he could make the team.

Hopefully he won’t be forced to go back to Africa and play the basketball/judo hybrid that’s taking the continent by storm.

Dear lord, waive Haislip or Bogans. Haislip doesnt seem like a guy who coul do much withputh minutes and he is already like 28.
Bogans? he is useless, give me udoka over him.
I hate guaranteed money, there’s no reason we should be waiving guys like Marcus or Malik.
