Poll: what should Manu's permanent nickname be?
Manu needs a nickname.
Hello my fellow Spurs Basketball lovers. It has become apparent as of late that Manu Ginobili is in need of a permanent nickname. So in order to let you guys decide, I have inserted all of the nicknames I have ever heard into this poll. May the best nickname or nicknames win. I was thinking of giving a brief explanation of each of the nicknames but decided that you guys know whats up. ( That and im lazy )

To Manu belongs 99 names. 100 minus 1. Anyone who memorizes them will enter Paradise.

Guess I’m the only one who liked “Doc Holiday” — and I thought that one would take off.

Attainment of Manuness or the path to nirvana
To Manu belongs 999 names. 1,000 – 1. One must keep the names hidden in the deep recesses of the soul.
Only by uttering the names in utter reverence and sheer terror shall one experience sublime ecstasy. And as one meditates upon each divine name, one ascends into a higher state of enlightenment.
Upon reaching the 999th level, one enters Nirvana and enters into the presence of the Immortal One and gorges on alfajores to your heart’s content

I think that our approach to Manu’s nickname should be to emulate the man himself — why tie ourselves to anything “official” when we could just be spontaneous, creative, on-the-fly and off-the-cuff? I love El Contusion because it makes me think of Brent Barry, and the chemistry that team had. I love the Sickness because it’s PtR history and Manu is sick, mad sick, sick like an angel. I like anything said about Manu with admiration, joy, and commitment, just like his game.
I’m going to call him whatever seems right at the moment.

Very well said, but
what you’re proposing is essentially the status quo, right?
