So I Missed Watching the Game Last Night.....
.....on account of studying my ass off in the library last night (yeah, can be a nerd), but seeing the destitution, disarray, and general brokenness of suns nation over the Pride of the Great Lone Star State once again owning them on their own floor was almost enough to make up for it. I swear, reading their comments on espn and BSotS is almost enough to make me feel sorry for them.

I missed it too...
But is there anything better than Suns fans in agonizing pain over yet ANOTHER Spurs victory?? Ah, it’s so sweet…
Leave the gun; take the Ginobili.
There really isn’t. It feels so……right. Ya know?

ok – quick recap for the three of you. close game early with teams scoring at a pace that would make gregg popovich want to rip the band-aid right off his head.
suns couldnt hold the pace in the second, spurs could. manu couldnt be contained. our team wins. on the game thread(s), we:
1) made total fun of the suns and shaq, particularly when they tried hack-a-bowen to the tune of 6 made FTs. they also hacked bruce intentionally inside of the two minute mark, which caused the spurs to shoot FTs and get the ball back. nice.
2) argued about tony and manu
3) talked about pink floyd
4) complained about the officials
Sounds like I missed a good time…
Thanks for the recap!

And as if last night wasn’t enough to push suns’ nation collectively closer to suicide…..there’s always this-

You really, really, really hate the Suns and their fans, don’t you?

Like I hate Asian Bird Flu or Vin Diesel. Trust me, go to phx and get a taste, it’s like no other place in the NBA.

What gets me is the sense of entitlement during the D’oh years. They thought that since they built the most entertaining team, they deserved a championship.
Truthfully, I find it hard to hate them now. They just seem like a team without an identity and with bad chemistry (hello, Amare) that missed its window of opportunity. Or closed its own window of opportunity, let’s say. I think they expect to lose to the Spurs now. Kind of sad, really.
Of course, I’ve never sat in the arena with a Bowen jersey on either. Might change my perspective.

No disrespect to El Contusion or His Majesty, but these pics will always be first and foremost in my mind when I think of Spurs game winning shots:

All I remember was being pissed the Spurs were down 18, then utter pandemonium with my friends and family in the living room. Living in SA in ’99 was so awesome, it was kinda surreal.
